You should talk to her face to face and just say how you feel and ask her if she feels the same, MSN is a bit cowardly, but it you feel you can't, text or MSN are probably the best ways to also discuss it.

Sometimes it feels too painful to say it to her face, so that is the best alternative.

Okay, I jest, but on MSN a lot of people say they love others, and it's become a part of online culture, like:

Under what context did you say it? Was it just out of the blue? If not, she probably took it like that - and just a quiet word will sort it out, if that.

If not, then I suggest calling her up, or (if you can face it) meeting up with her, maybe over coffee, and having a chat about how you feel. From experience, you have to make it clear you're not trying to pressure her into going out with you, you just wanted your feelings to be clear.

This way is good, because it allows any mutual feelings to be reciprocated easily, without her going out of her way.

If that fails, just move to Japan or something :D

Make sure you let her know that you wasnt being erm... God this is hard to put.

Just tell her you have feelings for her, and tell her you want to be more than just friends and then that you love her :)... If you really do, love is often confused for lust.
If you don't think you 'love' her then just tell her you want to be more than friends and that you want a relationship with her etc...

And some people throw the word love around... Once again as review dude said.
