For anyone who wants to read this LONG letter which i sent to sulake and habbo regarding a glitch or scam that cost me a **** load of rares.

I have encountered a serious problem over the last few days which i have received very little help regarding how either a glitch or someone using scripts has cost me a substantial amount of money. I will start from this point of trading, on May the 8th, 2004 I aquired 2 super rare dinosaur eggs from a user named "Windman" for the majority of rares I had on my account. The contents of this trade were as follows me "Priceman" had traded 8 thrones, 5 club sofas, 28 petals and 1 super rare bronze trophy, the user "Windman" had placed 2 super rare dinosaur eggs into the trade box and we completed the deal. At this point in time I placed the 2 Dino eggs from my hand into my room, almost imediately I noticed that 1 of the dinos was then unable to be picked up back into my hand, i made several calls for help regarding the problem and did not receive a response. Approximately 1 hour had passed and I had cleared the cookies from my browser, restarted my computer, ran virus checks and spyware checks and still was unable to retrieve 1 of the dinos into my hand. After approximately 1 more hour the dino egg was suddenly able to be picked back up into my hand and then i was able to move them from the floor to my hand with ease. On may the 9th at approximately 10 pm est, i was then approached by another user named "Pore". Myself and "Pore had reached an agreement on a trade for my 2 Dino eggs then the following occurred. Myself "Priceman" had placed 1 dino egg into the tradebox, user "Pore" placed 5 thrones and 24 petals the deal was completed.

I placed all the petals and thrones down into my room after the trade had completed. Myself and "Pore" began the trade for the 2nd dino egg, I placed 1 into the trade box and he placed 5 thrones and 24 petals, the deal was completed. I began to fill the remainder of the room I was in, and noticed that as I began to place the petals I had just received onto the floor in my room, they began dissapearing from other sections that i had previosuly placed petals from my first trade. After *****ing them up and dropping them many times to try and solve the glitch, i was finally able to have all 48 of the petals placed on 2 seperate floors. I still required 8 petals to make 2 full floors consisting of 28 petals each.I then picked up one of my thrones and began room hopping to find a good deal for petals on my throne, i eventually traded 1 of my 10 thrones for 6 petals and 4 hcs. At this point in time i returned to one of my rooms and placed 4 petals down to complete the room, I then proceeded to the second room where i had 24 petals and added the other 2 that were in my hand briging the total there to 26 petals. This is where it gets interesting, I left my room for a few minutes to go off and trade and upon my return both of the rooms had been missing alot of petals in certain areas of the floor, when i picked them all up to count the total, i had counted 31, when a few minutes prior i had counted 54, i had not logged off or made other trades during this time. I can not explain the recent glitches but i take note of the fact that this apparently has happened to others in the past. I am requesting information as to wether or not this a glitch in the software or wether others are able to simulate a different amount of rare items in the trade box. As of right now there are 23 rare petal patches missing from my account. I am what most would call an older user of this game at the age of almost 20 and I possess the sense to avoid the scams that circulate throughout the game, but in this situation I had witnessed in the trade box and received 5 thrones and 24 petals on back to back occasions for each of the dino eggs. Considering the amount of money that is spent on these items I have to think of the similarity of how this would be if I logged into my Ameritrade account and noticed one day that 540,000 of my shares had just been reduced to 310,000 for no apparent reason. I know this letter is long and I appreciate the time you may have taken to read and/or address my concerns. Please provide me with some information or trade and chat logs that could show and possibly provide a link to what exactly has occured here. The 2 trades that I made were no different from anything else i usually do on habbo and no lag did occur during these trades, i physically witnessed 54 petals in 2 of my rooms after both trades, now i only posess 31. Also on the same day a generous good friend of mine had bought me a gift of purple rollers for me to display the 2 dino eggs on. After opening the package i had recieved 11 rollers, i had asked her if she bought me 11 and she said no, i had thought maybe she did and was just playing a joke on me since she was there throughout the Glitched dino ordeal. But now I am having other thoughts that maybe this is an error within my room or the whole of habbo itself. Thankyou and I will await your response.

So it sounds like im up 6 purple rollers and down 23 petal patches due to
a glitch....... BTW,. whatever happens when habbo closes, which it eventually will, people just lose everything that they have paid and traded for? In the end they will have made some corporate savages millionaires and all the kids will be left with are memories of the credits they purchased. Kids gambling away all their allowance in casinos with their rares, what are games coming to? In my opinion this game is worse than Grand theft auto, at least people know that game is fake. Anyone have any ideas here? LMAO.

Well that is one huge essay, took be :rude: ages to read it. Humm, this is very strange, some girl said that she picked up a mocha, then deleted the room that it was in, after she found that the mocha was gone from her hand... Mabye the same sort of thing happened to you, except you were just more unfortunate that it was mass deletion. And I don't know what Habbo will do when it shut's down. I presume the reason would be because it isn't making enough buisness to sustain itself. Therefore not many people would be devistated by it. Plus alot of these people who are mega rich either won the Super Rares or scammed it, or recieved it in some way other than paying for it. It would cost hundreds of pounds to buy such an item.

I know quite a few people who are simply obsessed with habbo and constantly buy credits just to get richer and have those super rare items. Im sure quite a few of the mega rich users have either scammed or received quite a large amount of their rares through casinos but there are also people who spend loads of cash to get theirs as well.I decided to add my latest excerpt of an email I sent to sulake if anyone cares to spend another day reading my boring ranting ;)

Monday,May,16th,2005.

I am writing this email as my last attempt to establish communication with an employee of Habbo Hotel / Sulake Corporation. This is now the 7th email I have sent in the last 8 days since the error I encountered on your software that lost a good percentage of the rares I had obtained on my account. I am 100% positive that the loss of my items was in fact due to an error that took place on your side of the servers and I have become exasperated with all of my other attempts to establish any sort of communication with a representative or member of your corporation / organization. I am myself an operator of 2 succesful small businesses in Canada and I can hardly imagine what would happen to the state of my enterprises if I handled customer concerns in the same manner of Sulake "Staff". I am a paying customer and have a subscription / lease obtained on the remaining items and the items that used to be in my posession , 8 unanswered phone calls, 3 messages left to your sulake Uk office, 2 unanswered calls to the Finland Head office and numerous amounts of unanswered emails. Please be advised that in all of my time on your Habbo Hotel software I have always followed the rules and considered myself to be a valued customer. With this last notice to you, I am informing Sulake Corporation that If I do not receieve an email or phone call from a representative or employee of Sulake / Habbo Hotel within the next 48 hours I will have no other option but to file the necessary paperwork to take this matter to court, my goal in doing that is not even financially motivated its an issue of morals, and to expose the conduct and negligence of your operating employees. The Amount of time and effort I have put into attempting to communicate with someone over a case of 23 missing petal patches is unimaginable and by not addressing my concerns you have further admitted guilt in the matter. I am also taking note and will enter into evidence a pervious case of mine with Sulake that went unadressed and is still ongoing over the last 4 months. As of late I had grown to accept that I would probably not receive help on that matter but this fact will also be adressed in court along with quite a few of the testimonials I am sure to gather while preparing my case. Sulake has treated myself and the problems involving my account as a joke, and getting real assistance from a moderator is also nearly impossible. The hotel manager is given "celebrity" status as a Prize Giver and does not appear to be remotely available for direct communication to any paying customers as any real hotel would or company would grant. 48 Hours and Im sorry, I will have no choice and no regret over my filing of paperwork to resolve this matter in court and then further share my stories and information with the media. This is unacceptable behaviour and you and your staff should be ashamed of yourself for treating children in this manor. I have left several messages inculding my phone number and I will leave it once again Canada ********** (*****) - Or you may contact me via the email listed above. There is no humour in this, and this email should not go overlooked as the many others you have received from me. Thankyou and I will once again await your response.

Well, after sending them my latest email telling them that I would in fact take them to court I Finally received a HUMAN response from sulake. I am not making it up, if they do not get the root of the problem and fix it, that will be the only option that I have left seeing as though I am an innocent consumer and have been glitched of items. At least through this response from them I now have a physical email of someone from a sulake office who has responded to a concern. The following is the only response I have receieved from an employee of sulake after approximately 50-100 emails over the course of 4 months. The best part is they respond to the email Oblivious to the allegations I have made and act as if they have not received any of my prior emails.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your e-mail. Very sorry you have had this bad experience.

Could you please provide me with your Habbo username and a brief description of
how you think the missing petal patches vanished in an error of ours. When we
get this information, we will of course, look into this matter for you. :)

Also, out of interest, which telephone number were you trying to contact the
Habbo UK offices at? Our office hours are from Monday to Friday 9:30am-5:30pm
GMT - we usually return any messages left within 24 hours. (Unless it's a
weekend, of course) It would be interesting to know where your calls were going!

Well I would just like to conclude this story with me having received 1 last email from Glittercat and she advised me I have probably fallen victim to a 3rd party software scam where someone faked 23 petals in the trade box. They have decided to give me back most of my petals and when I logged in today i had received 18 presents from glittercat. I suppose all I can say is that if you have a problem, be persistent and dont let anyone stop you from voicing your opinion on the matter. Habbo has advised that they assure the servers are working fine and if this instance happens there is not much they can do .

Shockingly I did read that - yes, I have nothing better to do.
Something kind of similar happened to me. I traded for a Throne Sofa, Everything looked fine to me, But I got to my room and went to put it down and...dun dun dun it wasn't in my hand.
Also, A whole room has gone missing - but this might just be me, going crazy.
I didn't report the throne sofa, because I didn't think I'd get anywhere, and it's not that much anyway.
It did take me 6 months to get my habbo back though, and a lot of emails.
Seen as though I have a gap year this year, I'm going to be very bored, I was thinking of making a documentary about Habbo Hotel, and this would be a good story, If I end up making this film, would you be willing to share this story?

Well don't post then, moron.

Priceman, this is just a glitch it's happened to me, when the server refreshes itself it should resolve the problem, if not then I do not have enough knowledge of the way Habbo works to assist you any further.

The letter, seems too be very sound. No gaps of missing information. Hopefully, you'll get your furni back.]

The latter section of your letter, is very true, and people should take note.

Hahaha I do actually think it would make an interesting film, because when it comes down to it, Habbo is a con, It's taking money off kids (and adults too) in exchange for furniture that's not really theirs (not that I'm complaining, it amuses me) But lets face it, some people do get very obsessed with habbo!
I just need to find a good angle before I email habbo to ask them if I can.
It'll possibly be the worst documentary in the world, but hey, it'll amuse me and prevent lots of boredom! :D
