I know for a fact you don't need them because you see lots of people with "No payment info on file" i have 2/3 accounts all without.

I tried signing up but u know the registration bit where it says Identification Info.. i leave it as select then when i go to register, it goes to secondlife.com and i try to log in and nothing :S
