Liverpool Football Club today unveiled stunning new designs for their stadium in Stanley Park, coinciding with the submission of the official planning application to Liverpool City Council.
Scheduled to open in 2010, the 60,000 seat stadium has been designed to allow for future expansion which could see the capacity increased to the high seventies dependent on improvements to the local transport infrastructure.
The central importance of the Kop has also been recognised with a hugely increased capacity to 18,000 seats in a single tier stand.
The stadium represents an investment of around £300 million by the Club in North Liverpool.

i think it will be a mistake haing the corners open, you'll lose lots of atmosphere.

IF they fill the corners in then it will be in the high seventies, i read something on skysports that it could be like 78,000 dependant on access too the stadium, 78,000 bigger then old trafford. Hope it is going to be that big, great new stadium for England and Liverpudlians to be proud of. :)

No. 18,000 Kop End Capacity, thats.. HUGE, like twice of the size of the one now, wich means better atmosphere. Also Wembley hasn't lost its atmosphere, theres been 3 games there, u can't judge it that quick.

If they're still building that in Stanley park it will be over the road from my school :S but then we will have probably moved to the new academy in breckfield by then, or I will have most probably left school. Its a nice stadium never the less alot better than the current Anfield is

Nice stadium but they are building over a PUBLIC park which is for the PUBLIC not for a Football Club to just build on.

To be honest it dosent matter about the corners being filled in.
Anfield dosent have corners although there stands do join.
From what i heard on sky sports news Liverpools new Kop will hold 18,000 scousers.
The atmosphere will be amazing at the NEW ANFIELD/STANLEY PARK.
I carnt wait to hear YNWA for the first time there.
Didnt know they had changed it. The old plans looked good, and what happened to "When we get the new chairman the new stadium will begin construction within 6 months" load of rubbish. Just hurry up and build it so the season ticket waiting list can drop and i can get myn! :@
