Well , I gotta say, I love the series. They make me laugh, but this film... I did not laugh once, I just could not understand! Me and my friend were sat there with blank expressions on our faces , I gotta say what a let down, the jokes are dumb and not funny , there really is not any jokes , just "funny" lines if you get me . I gotta say I thought it was not the end and guess what it was, was too short and everything seemed rushed in places , The secondary characters had little involvement and the story was weak. The ending was really rushed too. I gotta say what a let down. This movie should of been made 10 years ago when simpsons was at its best... oh well 5/10

either you have a lame sense of humour or you did not pay attention . there were tons of jokes and ?funny lines?. you obviously dont appreciate the sense of humour from the movie or seasons 1-11 in the simpsons seasons. whoever has read this review do not use his advice. the simpsons movie is one of the best-selling movies of all time.the only thing i agree with is that it should have been longer 10/10.

I agree with everything you've said, was a very good movie, only problem was the movie was a bit short, but i would still give it 10/10

I love the series , the thing is this film is just so frigging stupid. I dont see what the hell is so funny about it , Its not funny at all , there just trying to be way to funny and it didnt work , I just think there was to much pressure for them to make it great and well you see in this film , The only thing funny is the part in moes tavern when he switch's the lights out and stuff thats the funnest part for me , I did LOL inside at somethings but Shouldnt I be laughing and not thinking thats funny? To be honest I think it was stupid. not worthy of 10 stars, you tell me the what was so funny about it then , Oh btw it was nothing like series 1-11 so dont get me started.

no? you're just stupid. i was a ravid fan of every season up to the recent ones (which aren't funny at all anymore), i LIVE off of them. and i'd give the movie a 6/10. it had funny parts, but it was no where near how funny fans wanted it to be. or how much it would have been if it was made 10 years ago. so don't tell me i dont have a sense of humor for not liking it that much.

and you made up the "best selling movies of all time" thing. when i was at the theaters, it was no more than half full, and that was opening day. its almost impossible to break the best-opening weekend record.

I have been a simpsons fan from the beginning (Season 1;)) everyone has there own opion and my opion is that yours is complete :rude:. and if it was not as funny as fans thought it would be then why have all the reviews given it 5/5 and 4/5 ill tell you why, because they think its a good movie aswell. and i did not type THE best-selling movie. i said it was ONE of the best selling movies for a long time. and if you dont beleive me google it :P. And does it matter about your cinema. im talking about on a global scale, that means outside of your town;)

I haven't seen the movie yet, but i'm expecting it to be bad just like the recent simpsons, I don't watch it anymore as it's a waste of time. the creators of the simpsons movie started making it like 4 years ago. around about season 15. so thats probally why the first 30 minutes are the best.

you're over 20 years old, and cant spell opinion right? okay then.

i haven't seen a single real critical review that gave it a perfect score. the highest i've seen is an A-. [all critic reviews (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808405878/critic)].

and i just googled "Best Selling movie simpsons" and nothing came up. how about you link to a page that says its one of the best selling movies of all time? if you dont do it on your next post, i'm assuming you just made it up :)

and that article was written on the day it opened in the U.S., i dont see how it could have made that much money in that time :/

I thought it was really good at the start with the intro, greenday, spiderpig etc after that it was a real storyline which they seemed to focus on too much over the jokes. Some bits of it [in my opinion] just werent funny like with the rock and 'a hard place'. Good film, worth watching but they could have done so much more.

I think it was as funny as it could be for a PG rating. I agree it seemed a little rushed though, it felt like a long episode rather than a movie. It also seemed quite anti-climactic seeing as The Simpsons is the cartoon of cartoons.

Thats the simpsons I knew and loved. :)

And this

Its so funny when homer crushes his beer can with his belly .. but seriously people getting hurt and stupid jokes are not funny , I want clever jokes like in moes tavern when the lights go out.

I must be wierd because I LOVE the new episodes. I never got the old episodes. I wouldn't laugh once. And people are complaining the jokes are silly? They are cartoon people. They are yellow. Marge has blue hair that is easily a foot high. Even I could guess that intelligent jokes weren't gonna play a big role. :P

the super-old first season episodes arent very good. but seasons 3-7 especially are 10 times as funny as the ones today. the one where lisa learns tapdancing is probably my favorite one ever.

its not really about simple-minded humor [hell, i think anchorman is the funniest movie in history], its more about cheap jokes in new episodes. that try to be funny but fail miserably or that are highly predictable.

It's not funny, it's stupid, it's boring. It's became a lot like the Simpsons series now.

Their humour is FORCED. The jokes they make are like ones a 5 year old would make.

I sat there trying to amuse myself the whole movie, be it twiddling my thumbs or biting my nails.

Wow, this movie was amazing. I really really loved it, especially the first 10 minutes.

The crowd part early with Homer calling us fools was hilarious. I also loved the sketch simpsons family that got arrested. Those were my 2 favourite moments in the movie.

And yes, I agree with everyone saying the Spiderpig part was really lame, same with Harry Blobber or whatever. It was funny the first time you see the trailer. The second time it was okay. The third time it was just unfunny. The only fun pig part for me was when Homer was blowing on his stomach saying 'whos a good pig?'.

Oh, and Ralph's line of 'I like men now' was freakin' hilarious lol!

I don't understand how people can call this movie crap, it was the polar opposite of it. I'd rate it a 9/10, this is my favourite movie of 2007. Much better than Transformers which was my fav movie up to this point, imo.

Oh I forgot. Did anyone catch the part at the end where Maggie says 'Sequel.' ? I didn't see many people leave during the credits so I decided to stay and watch. I can't wait for the sequel.. I just hope it can live up to the greatness of this movie.

Yeah lot's of people stayed in mine but I couldn't be bothered. I saw the bit at the end of Pirates of the w/e.

I thought it was fantastic. I won't point out my favorite points cos there's too many. And I disagree with the later seasons being unfunny. I was watching a seasion 15 episode where Homer builds Bart a bike and Barts bike falls to pieces on the road, Homer comes running with a first aid kit and says "I've spring loaded it for quick access", he opened it and all injections and needles springed into his forehead.

Perhaps the adult-orientated humour went way over your head. Also, it was a very difficult movie to make, they began laying the very foundations of the concept of a The Simpsons movie in 1997... which, yes, is ten years ago.

The movie may have seemed short, but its 86 minutes its length, which is just four minutes shy of the standard and most common movie.

there was almost no adult-oriented humor in the movie :/ and actually, i just saw an interview with matt groening, and he said they started making the movie in 2003. and dont say "oh well the foundation of the movie was made in 1997" -- because that's probably not much. the "foundation" was probably just the idea to make a movie. if it was a lot, he would have said it started in 1997.

In someways this is alot like the family guy movie, in that its really just an elogngaed episold, it was ok, not great. Alot of the humar comes from the implication and refernces made rather than just the slapstick stuff, but if you dont get the references i can see how you could easly miss them.

Although the implict/reference jokes king still has to be family guy, the movie from that was also great.

I've yet to see the movie but I don't think i'll laugh at spiderpig, it's been exhausted too much for me over the internet alone, the first time I saw it, I found it slightly funny, now, I don't find it funny at all.

It was funny first time but i went to go with my mate to watch it again and i didn't laugh obviously cause i've seen ir.
It's one of those films like horror you just can't really watch again cause it bores you.
Most films i can watch again and again.
i give simpsons 7/10
