Im back from my time at ireland and it was great :D
We went to Dublin Zoo on friday which was really good, and went round to see some attractions at Dublin (e.g Irish white house) etc.
But tbh it made me appericiate what I have got in England, I mean in most places in Ireland (85%) they cant get broadband - just dialup. They have computers which are not, like up-to-date. But I had a very good time :)
The plane journey going there was good, but coming back at around 1pm it left, it was bad. I had to give my window seat to my sister but I dont know why.. and she kept poking me all the way from Shannon to London and she took my chocolate aswell.
So.. uhh, have I missed much?
Cya :D

Northern Ireland are part of Britain so they are same technoligacally (cant spell :P) advances as England.
This part, Kilrush in Shannon, is in the countryside so thats probabbly why they arent as much advanced yet.

are you making ireland out to be a third world country, in which you had to savagely fight your way against the brutal storm, in hope of finding a shelter which will relieve you from the disaster-stricken country, which rages war?
nah, im joking.

Yes, Eircom is the main broadband service but around 80-85% of Republic of Ireland doesnt have broadband.

I see Ireland as UK, minus BBC, with Euros, more religious and some of them like to speak another language. I may be wrong in my thinkings but yeh.

No it isn't, you are totally wrong.
The Republic of Ireland is a Catholic country with over 90% of the population being Catholic so where do you get your information from? And Alex you four eyed geeky looking freak please do not put a fake nationality on us. I'm proud of being Irish.
Calling us brits, that is the biggest offense you can call us. Who wants to be a brit?
eww.

Ok so probabbly 85% was a silly estimate :P But why would I want to make the country that I love sound poverty like? And they arent just the UK, they are an independant country with NOTHING to do with them anymore. Just Northern Ireland remains part of Britain.
And no not all of Southern Ireland can get broadband, its cause the houses are old and the phone lines cant take broadband cause they are old too

I was in Shannon, which is Western Ireland so they dont have broadband there. Im not saying you cant get broadband anywhere in ireland, there are obviously a few places.
Also that last link (internetworldstats) says it has internet in over 2 million homes, but that can be dial up

i never say this but you just owned him. i swore never to say that but I have. I think almost everywhere in the UK can get broadband through ADSL or satellite broadband (yes it does exist).
