Maybe you have varicose veins where your veins become large & twisted [taken from Wikipedia].
These are the symptoms also taken from Wikipedia:
Aching, heavy legs (often worse at night and after exercise)
Ankle swelling
A brownish-blue shiny skin discoloration around the veins
Skin over the vein may become dry, itchy and thin, leading to eczema (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eczema) (venous eczema)
The skin may darken (stasis dermatitis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stasis_dermatitis)), because of the waste products building up in the legs
Minor injuries to the area may bleed more than normal and/or take a long time to heal
Rarely, there is a large amount of bleeding from a ruptured vein
In some people the skin above the ankle may shrink (lipodermatosclerosis) because the fat underneath the skin becomes hard.
Restless Leg Syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restless_Leg_Syndrome)[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varicose_veins#_note-3). Restless Leg Syndrome appears to be a common overlapping clinical syndrome in patients with varicose veins and other chronic venous insufficiency.
Here are the comlications that can occur:
Most varicose veins are relatively benign, but severe varicosities can lead to major complications, due to the poor circulation through the affected limb.
Pain, heaviness, inability to walk or stand for long hours thus hindering work
Skin conditions / Dermatitis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dermatitis) which could predispose skin loss
Bleeding : life threatening bleed from injury to the varicose vein
Ulcer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulcer) : non healing varicose ulcer could threaten limb amputation.
Development of carcinoma or sarcoma in longstanding venous ulcers. There have been over 100 reported cases of malignant transformation and the rate is reported as 0.4% to 1%.[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varicose_veins#_note-4)
Coagulation of blood in varicose veins cause superficial thrombosis, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_vein_thrombosis), Pulmonary Embolism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulmonary_Embolism) (PE) & could precipitate stroke (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroke) in the rare case of predisposed individuals (that is, patients with patent foramen ovale (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patent_foramen_ovale)).I'll also give you the site so you can read more up on it & see if this is what you have.

It won't be varicose veins, varicose veins is related to blood pressure and age, so you could only have varicose veins if you are middle-aged with a poor diet (or a pregnant woman)

That doesn't matter, even if you are going to get it you won't have any symptons until you are late 20s/early 30s

It could be that you've just been sitting down for a long time, try standing up and stretching your legs every 20 minutes or so, you could also try a long hot bath as it could be that the veins are a symptom of muscular strain.
In my opinion, it sounds like you're developing varicose veins. It's odd because the condition is rare in young people, but the description of your syptoms fits. :S

Perhaps it's internal bruising.. or the muscles / tendants have been strecthed too much.
Like others have said, a doctor would be the best place to visit, the sooner the better.

Varicose veins can be caused in men too but it is more likely for women to have it than men.
