its called Death Knight,

The Death Knight will be a hero class and playable once a player has reached level 80 and done a hard quest chain similar to the warlock epic mount quest.

known playable races are unkown at this moment in time but it seems that every race can become one.

The Death Knight is a melee tank/dps class which uses runes instead of mana/energy/rage and when created will be lvl 55-70 (this is still unclear)

thats all i know so far.

.. both? You basically have to complete a LONG chain which supposedly is going to be the hardest quest in the game. Much more difficult than the warlock/pally mount quests. After completing the quest, you unlock the class "Dark Knight". As a Dark Knight, you convert your character into one. This also means you will not be able to play your character as it's original class. Rumours say that when you do convert, you will have to start the character again but it starts at level 55- 60.

you will still have your current character, all that happens is you unlock the class Death knight from the character creation screen , you do not loose your old character :)

Yeh, Death Knight will just be another character alongside your lvl 80. Death Knight is a dps / tanking class, will be able to tank using two-handers and dual wield, no need for shields ^^

The Death Knight would be a new character - you wouldn't lose your previous character.

I can't wait to be one because 2h tanking ftw. I normally want to tank 2h as well but...

I lol'd.

The Death Knight uses spells aswell, so I don't see why you compare it to a rogue :) Doubt it will have the skills a rogue has.

I thought you had to get a character to a certain level and do a quest to unlock it then play it from level 1?

Bailey

You need to be level 50 - 70 to get one. They also start at a certain level too. And this is a major bump :P.

No you need to do a quest line first xD I would imagine it being rather hard but you'll just team groups of 6 or something doing it together lol
