View Full Version : Barry Bonds Ties Home Run Record
Last night, Barry Bonds tied the MLB Home Run Record of 755 Home Runs in a career. He did it using steroids so I don't think he should even get the title. But he'll "beat" it soon.

Even though it's very likely he used steroids, it's not been proven yet. Innocent until proven guilty. I don't like Bonds since he seems to be a jerk when not playing baseball. But even if he did use steriods, without them, he'd still be one of the best hitters of all time.
I'll probably support Barry even though I don't like him - don't ask me why.

Alex Rodriguez will eventually beat it anyway :). Youngest person ever to reach 500 home runs. Then we'll definitely know that we have a "clean" record holder.

Arrr anyone can go bad even rodriguez ^-^
I can prove myself that Bonds used steroids. xD.
My Proof:
-Look at the size of him and his biceps from his rookie year to his current year.
-At his age he should'nt be getting a bigger shoe size which can be a side effect of performance enhancing drugs.
-HE FAILED A DRUG TEST!
And btw, I do believe that A-Rod will not only beat, but shatter the Home Run Record by the time he is 40 years old. But I still don't like either Barry or Alex.

If he is indeed a cheat (I don't watch baseball I wouldn't know) and proven guilty, does the record stand?
Yeah becuase he still plays and still broke the record, stupid rule, but they have to follow it.

actually, he failed a drug test. so yeah, it has been proven.
im kinda torn on it. i mean, who's to say how many home runs he hit due to steroids?

he broke the record regardless steriods arn't going effect him that much the it would really effect his amount of homeruns.

Wasn't he only taking steroids when they were legal? It's like saying passing back to the goalkeeper in 1970 was "cheating" because it's not allowed now. Although I do feel he's responsible for tarnishing his reputation, he did very little wrong here.

he was tested and he failed last year. and its been illegal for a few years now. so no, he was taking them while they were illegal. you're thinking of Mark Mcgwier who took them when they were legal.
and lol@ a mets fan catching the homerun ball.

He failed a drug test but is still allowed to play?
I'm not a baseball fan so I don't know much, I'm just confused as to how he's still able to play.

yep. i think the longest someone has been suspended for it was 2 weeks. and thats why many people think that you should be banned from baseball if youre caught, and everyone should be tested.

I seen this on sky sports most americans arent happy about him breaking the record due to the fact he's used steriods.:eusa_wall
