Happy Slapping...

Ever heard of "Happy Slapping".
At my school it only went on for like 2 days but now they have shown it on the news, its come back again and got really bad.

Happy Slapping isnt Happy, and Personally i think its just pointless.
someone comes up to you and slaps you for nothing.

The question here is What did i do wrong?!
why do people just do it for fun?! I dont think its funny atall.

Though I must laugh at the little slaps you get across the face in school. It happens in my school but has never got any worse than that.

But I sometimes play "slaps" with my mates at school where if your in a group and u kinda get in a circle and say for example, the person on your left has their hand on top of yours, and the person on the right has their hand underneath yours and yours on top, and you go like clockwise or anti-clockwise and slap each others hands, if the person moves their hand they are out! Immature I know lol but its quite fun. but trust me you get sore hands aftrwards and i always lose

How can people go up to othere people and happy slap them and laugh at someone elses pain? I watched the Tonight program too and some of the slaps weren't very nice to watch. Some of the littler slaps at school by your mates are just harmless fun but by strangers, in the street, being filmed is just wrong and disturbing. What makes me angrier is that the gouvernment is targeting all the teenagers by stopping us wearing what we want in shops and now even thinking of not selling camera phones to any teenager. I think it originally came from the Tango advert, where that orange dude went up and slapped that guy, and shouted "you know when you've been tangoed!" After a while they banned the advert because school kids were doing it.
When I was at school, it never happened, but a friend from college has had it happen to her, by school kids, and it was being filmed.

A mate of mine used to be into the whole Happy Slap crewz with his "crew" so me and my mates disliked him and he came up to my one mate with his crew and like punched him and recoreded it.

So me and all my mates jumped him when he was walking home one night, I know we did wrong but we wanted to show him what it's like :(

my mate got slapped the other day by these random kids and the school they go to is notorious for aggresive behaviour, assault, etc. funnily enough she swore at them.. i think its the most stupidest fad yet.

It annoys me that a rape is being classed as a 'happy slap', it makes the assault sound less serious than it actually is.

but my brother says it happens at his school and all phones have been banned, and it happened at a high school round the corner from where i live. A 13 year old girl was put into intensive care after 2 girls who claimed were happy slapping this girl, had pushed her too the ground, and had kicked her stomach, ribs and head repeatedly. I felt seriously sick that this had happened just around the corner. I admit we have a bit of harmless fun in our class, where we walk up to a mate, tap them on the shoulder, they turn around, and we give them a slight slap around the cheek but it never hurts anyone, and they are allowed to slap or nudge you back. No-one gets hurt and not once has it been taken to the level of serious beating. Most my mates won't catch a bus anymore, but if anyone attempted at happy slapping me i would seriously hurt them back. :@
It seems to have died down A LOT recently, which i am thankful for.

PS If anyone is thinking about happy slapping someone remember the person you slap can be damaged by your slap not just physically but mentally too! No-one should have to suffer for your childish amusement. Happy slapping is not happy for everyone, dont do it!!

It's not really happy 'slapping' is it? i mean, a happy slap would have been someone going up to someone else and giving them a playful slap on the cheek, that is harmless and sometimes funny, now it should be called, 'agressive beating' as it isnt a happy slap its a agressive beating until the victim is unconscous. I think it is sick and it was so popular, but now the whole thing is calming down. It isn't the most of worrys on police's mind at the moment.
