well a girl posted a thread about a TB infection or something and said it might be fatal.

well, i'm now terribly worried, and i'm seriously shaking.
my sister still hasnt had her TB jab, and she's 16, 17 in december.
she is going to get round to it, but she never seems to have the time.
but she moans at my mum about it like us teenagers do.

anyway, to the point.
she has been having just bad stomach aches recently.
really, nothing serious.
but now i know that not having a tb jab can be fatal.
well it's really scaring me.

please help?
should i be worried?
please answer :(

Don't worry, as long as she isn't around anyone with TB... and she doesn't go to somewhere virus prone like jungles etc, she should be fine... My uncle is 40 and has never had a TB Jab :)

Dooont worry :)
Just have a word with her, and tell her your scared. And that you want her to her jab.

It's probably nothing, and your just thinking it is because your worried about your sister. Maybe just tell your mom/sister that your worried about it, and you want her to get it done.

as they said
if you get really worried ask your parents about it, she should be fine (: if you see any of the signs of tb then you should worry to get yourself more knowledge of tb and understand it more try looking it up on google or somethings theres bound to be stuff on there about it x

dont worry im sure she'll be fine (:

The majority of people over 60 have never had a TB jab, and they are the people most likely to get it. But they very rarely do even so.

Well the odds are slim m8, there hasnt been a recorded ENGLISH person with TB in england for ages thats why they told schools to not give it to kids so no one at my old school has had it my year (year 10 after holidays) and downwards and never will unless there has been reports

so yeh like someone said i think

unless shes been to a tourist attraction with foriegneers the chances are like 0.01 %

I wouldn't worry too much. They stopped doing it at my school, so I went to the doctors and asked for one and they said they have stopped giving them in my area.

For some reason, I haven't had mine yet, but I am going to get it soon because it's scared me now.

Tuberculosis is very rare these days outside of poverty stricken areas (Prisons, drug dens, Immigrant hostels etc) so there is nothing to worry about.

I've never had a tb jab.

we were supposed to get ours on my birthday but they cancelled it as there's 'no risk of infection in the area'.
