2 mins 30 seconds... That's when not being active and sitting down, and keeping still :P
Oh and I'm pretty damn healthy, so slow heart when relaxed ^_^
Slower your heart when relaxed, longer you can hold your breath for.

the average is 1 min i think, and the record is five im not sure:s.
We have competitions on the river in the kayaks where you have to go over stay under for aslong as you can then come back up, can be hard sometimes but i think my record was 1 min 20.

Ive done up to 3 mins before (underwater) but i was like dying when i breathed again.
My scuba diving club makes you do obstacle courses underwater whilst holding your breath.

With a regulator in?
Nope. Snorkle.
You also have to do a thing where you swin from one end of the pool to the other, underwater, to reach your kit.
