Welcome To Rapture!

The last topic disscussed the demo, this will disscuss the game itself. I have written everything that you read except the pictures...

I plan a Big Weekly Question for this next week btw.

Story

BioShock is about a underwater city called Rapture, built in the late 1940s. A haven for artists and scientisets, but while studying the sea floor they found a drug called Adam within sea slugs which could enhance strength, speed, sexual performance, enhance you with plasmids and when enough is taken... immortality. A drug war raged out and the entire population was destroyed, now mutants roam the corridorrs of rapture... Big Daddys (genitacally modified builder biosuit guys) protect Little Sisters (small mutant children) while they harvest the last of the Adam, from the dead.

Because the people there took too much, and now it is all they can eat. The Little Sisters harvest the dead's Adam and turn it into Eve, which can be recycled once more into Adam.

(to be explained why and where you were headed) Your plane crashed in the ocean, lying in bits and pieces. You swim towards a lighthouse, it is plain, no land surrounding it. Inside the lighthouse there is an elevator, hoping to go upwards to the telephone poll, it breaks down and plunges you downwards into Rapture.

Now, you must survive the Big Daddys and mutants (Splicers), use Adam to gain Plasmids, that change your very DNA for special abilities (freezer, incinerator, telekiness, speed, electrobolt, enrage, hypnotism and much more). Also along the way to find Atlas's (the guy who made Rapture) family, you must scavenge for everyday items to upgrade your weapons....

Gameplay

It is played in a FPS/ RPG format, with dashes of survival horror spliced apart on the pages of BioShock. You can upgrade your character and weapons through plasmids and everyday objects, in fact anything can be scavenged, from a plasmid syringe to a bottle of alcohol.

Collector's Edition

The game is being released with a Collector's Edition, which I comment on being awesome.
