According to the Sky Sports channel & numerous websites, Benfica have recieved a £6m (9(.3)m in Euros) bid from Everton for Benfica's 50%.
He's also been withdrawn from the team for Benfica squard for their CL qualifier againest Copenhagen. The fact that he has been withdrawn from the Benfica squad adds weight to the rumour.
I so totally hope this goes through.

Anyway, besides that - I was just wondering what you guys think of him as a player.

He was excellent last season, got a trick or two in his pocket and can shoot. Good additon if you lot can get him.

I think he'd make our Midfield(in a non-biased way) one of the best in the league tbh.
Pienaar, Fernandes, Cahill, Arteta. (When Cahill comes back)
And then we've got Osman, Carsley, Jagielka, Van Der Meyde and possibly Neville(when needed) as back-up. That sounds good to me :)
He will also improve if he comes to us, just look at what Moyes has done with Arteta & Cahill.
He'd be a fantastic signing.
