This poem is about a girl, who's lover leaves her with nothing but her own grief... (cheery i know!)

Cross my heart and hope to die,
I swear to you I will not lie.
And when you ask me to be true,
I promise to be here for you.

Your tender love is all I need,
It keeps me strong, it lets me breathe.
Without your love I cease to exist,
I need your touch, I need your kiss.

Cross my heart and hope to die,
I swear to you I will not cry.
For when you leave and don't return,
My weakened heart can only yearn.
