So basically, I've never drank a drop of alcohol in my life. I've been to loads of parties and had fun, but I see all drunk people falling over around me, and I just don't wanna be like that. Plus the smell of it is horrible.
I get criticised for not drinking, and I'm now being nicknamed 'Soberboy'. It's quite funny really!
Am I missing anything?

I used to be exactly the same as you apart from being called "soberboy", I remember the first time I got drunk it was rather funny now I look back on it.

I was other my friends house and I was saying stuff I did not want to say and I knew I did not want to say it at the time but I could not stop myself, also I would be mid-conversation with someone then notice the bottle of whiskey I had was all gone and I must have said ":O The whiskeys all gone!" about 10 times in an hour that night.

I still don't drink as much as my friends but that is because of family reasons.

I think it was funny to get drunk the first time ^^... I held a little back, so i was still able to controle myself a bit, but i still got pretty drunk xD... Apparently i become rather annoying when i'm drunk xD

My first time was New Years Eve and just mixed my drinks like mad. I had a shot of Taboo (sp?) shot of Whiskey, Red Wine, Larger then we done the brush thing were you spin around it to make you more drunk. Apparently I was singing like mad on the Karaoke when I normally wouldn't haha.
Second time was my Sister's 18th and I couldn't even walk home =] Drank 6 WKD's and that was enough to get me drunk but not bad.
I still ain't experienced a full hangover though had minor symptoms but nothing major haha go me.

If my freinds have alcahol ill have a bit and if i liked it i expect id drink to much of it

you don't feel bad in the morning normally (well i don't). if you have loads you feel bad in the morning, or so i've heard, but normally you throw up if you do, so it gets it out your system.

don't feel pressured into drinking it though.

I go out drinking twice a week, Fridays & Saturdays but if there's like a 'fair' or bank holiday or something we'll probably drink on the Sunday night aswell. I see nothing wrong with alcohol, obviously there are side effects but I am choosing to drink it and it's not harming you. I've been sick about 3 times, 1 being the first time I got drunk aswell - so not really that bad with how long I've been drinking. Never had a hangover so I guess I'm lucky.

It does wind me up when you see all these 12/13 year olds going out getting drunk on like 2 beers or 2 smirnoffs or whatever week in week out being sick or getting paraletic.
Where I live, there is quite a fair few scraps at the weekend - especially considering there is a camp just a few miles away so you get plenty of squaddies coming in, drinking & looking for fights. Although I would still fight if sober, when you've had a few beers it really gets you ticking and more in the mood!

Ehh I drink but responsibly.. I can get smashed and still be fairly in control. Also I don't get hangovers so that's fine. I used to be all "drinking's crap" but then I found out it's really much cheaper and easier than drugs so yeah that's a plus.

If you don't like alcohol and don't see a problem in people calling you soberby, then why drink?
As you said, you can have fun there without being drunk and of course they say mean this "soberboy" to offend you at this moment they just think its funny .
But still, the decission is up to you and if you choose not to drink, you shouldn't.

I'm like you, lol. Apart from getting called.. I recently went on holiday and my cousin who is 15 (same age) had a drink every few nights and I got offered but I honestly don't like the taste of it. I had a drink of the beer and it was horrible, urgghh. Had a drink of a cocktail aswell and I wasn't so keen on that (vodka was in it). I don't get peerpresured into it at all. Maybe when I'm older and I go out I might have a pint one night and get the taste of it and then I just end up drinking that but I don't see the point in it tbh. When people say you are missing out I don't see what on. o.0. I'd rather drink something I like than something that will make me 'cool'. :}

I remember hating alcohol. But as I got older I kinda found it nicer and easier to drink and the more I had the more I liked it. Good thing is I don't get hangovers. Normally I don't lose control of myself when i'm drunk but if I get WASTED out of my face then I can make a fool of myself. When you get older you will like alcohol more
