Skysports.com understands that Everton have agreed a deal with Middlesbrough for Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
The two clubs have been locked in talks for the last few weeks and have now finally agreed terms.
Portsmouth and West Ham were also interested, but the player's first option was always to seal a move to Goodison Park.
Boro had been looking for £12million the 24-year-old - but they have relented and accepted a deal worth just over £11million.
Yakubu, who trained with Middlesbrough on Wednesday, is now due on Merseyside to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
The Nigerian will become Everton's record signing and if all goes according to plan he should be available to make his Toffees debut against Blackburn on Saturday.
oh well! If he's not going to play properly, then he can **** off!

he's a good player and proven in the premiership, but it still seems like a lot of money.

Hes a good player in my opinion, always scored goals wherever hes been. Boro might have Mido now but they have lost 2 good strikers in Viduka and Yakubu.

7.5 million pounds from Portsmouth.
11.25 million to Everton is the right figure isn't it? If it is, it's a nice little profit for 'Boro.

You're really quite aggravating.
I don't think he's worth that - he's only worth it if he's still with Viduka as that strike partnership was... awesome.
I can't see him with Johnson - little & large.

Mido is poor compared to them two and has a worse temper.

He's coming to us for £11.25m but he's just sorting out a work-permit.
It was meant to be sorted so he could debut tomorrow vs Blackburn, but I dont think so.
I actually think him and AJ will do well together, im being serious aswell.
And with Fernandes awaiting international clearance, I cant wait to see them in the team.
COYB! :)

actually he got his work-permit denied cos a falling out with the Nigerian coach.
we've appealed and it's being decided on wednesday with the fa.
he's been playing in the premier league for 5 years, so he shouldnt have no problem.
he's apparently actually SIGNED, just needs his work-permit before it can be announced.
dont know why your laughing either?

If hes "SIGNED". Then if his work-permit appeal is denied.. you'll have a 11.25 Million Pound striker, being @ a club where hes unable to actually play.. lololololol, now thats something to laugh at!
