First choice airways get the first EVER 787 Dreamliner, feburary 2009.

It's had plenty of flights already, none of which by airlines yet as they haven't been shipped (Flown?) out to the airlines yet, should be October 07. It's been flying for around 2 years now.

I'm a strong supporter of Airbus as my dad worked on the A380 and A400M a few years ago and got loads of free merchandise :P But Airbus is a English/European company, compared to America's Boeing...
I thought people would support Airbus cause it's British, but no :P

I know what your trying to say but like myself and Adam I think don't put it to crashes. We put it to how they are built, performance and how they look. Like the A320s are too light so they move dead easily in the wind etc.

http://flydamnit.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/06/Airbus-A380-test-center.jpg

I think I've proven my point.

I prefer the Airbus one :P Besides, regarding the location of the cockpit, Airbus put it in that location so that the height would be similar to other Airbus planes, hence any pilot who has piloted other Airbus planes will be used to it. Although Boeing 747 was built many decades ago, the Airbus's also faces its challenges. At this point in time, most airports are really very developed, so the Airbus A380 must integrate itself into current airport facilities. So far, the only part that needs changing is the aerobridges and the holding rooms where passengers are going to board, not the more costly upgrades like the runway and the taxiway. But however, imo the Boeing 747 is a larger engineering feat as it was built at that time where aviation knowledge was lesser. Hence, the flight deck of the A380 is more user friendly :P

Adam!
05-09-2007, 06:01 AM
A380 needs modified gates, can only use the biggest of taxiways, looks ugly, has a bad flight deck design...............

Well thats a bit strange, i don't see what you all have against Airbus, it's as safe as any other companys in service! Just becuase they are behind with the building of one plane thats going to smash de 747z of the biggest airliner spot your all saying it's unsafe!

Judging by things you have sadi on the forum you wish to become a pilot, correct? Say you join an airline that has a fleet of mixed planes (Airbus/Beoing), and one day your set on a flight to spain or something and it's an airbus your going to start having a paddy about it been an airbus!! Please someone, find me ONE fact the proves Airbus is unsafe?

What aircraft was it that caused the most fatalities in one single crash, Boeing

So what I am trying to get at is its the pilots fault not the aircraft, they are built just as good as each other. It was the KLM captain fault which caused the most fatalities in one single crash, by the way its the tenerife disaster if you don't know.

A personal favourite Airbus of mine:

I like Boeing for its Dreamliner that is coming and I quite like Airbus' A380.

So I'm equal really.

Air planes themselves are never designed to look nice. Cargo planes most important objective is space, not looking attractive. It needs as much space as possible and off course stay fuel efficient at the same time which is why they look alien shaped :P.

I dont mind either manufacturer as I don't notice anything. Only people that really notice anything are the pilots and staff I am guessing.

I don't think the average user does though. You 2 know a lot more about planes than the average passenger :P.

ive noticed things as well, that scare me, like when i went in an airbus a321 when the pilots reduce throttle to stay under 250 knots, the engines dont slow down, the drop completely, making me think they've turned off.

Well why do you think they got the name scarebus ;)

I remember with FCA just taking off 28 at Alicante, got to about 2000ft and the throttles just idled.. Everyones faces dropped and the whole cabin went silent. I wasn't too sure what was going on really, the engines literally idled.

found on mtv cribs man i would not mind his house neither like a big broffle tbh
LOL

Boeing all the way, I've been on a 747-400 and comparing that to a Airbus 320 Boeing is ALOT more comfortable.

First choice airways get the first EVER 787 Dreamliner, feburary 2009.

Boeing all the way.

Btw, airbus 380 or w.e is fugly. :]

Said it all

:o Side Sticks ALL THE WAY!!

I still think Airbus rule over Boeing :P

Left handled co-pilot

You would laugh if it blew up on its first flight? Thats a bit harsh considering there would be pilots, passengers and crew...

I have to say...Airbus ftw!

I'd laugh. theres no passengers on test flights (VERY little 2-10)

The only plane I like which Airbus has made is the A340 and thats it. All the rest are rubbish. These are what I call the perfect ones; 737, 767, 777, 747, 787

Thats cos the a340 looks like boeing, they copied us :S

That tall Boeing with 2 floors at the front is disgusting, but single floored Boeing's are nice.

I suggest you look in the mirror, that big nose opens up to put your bags etc

Aslong as it gets me there safely and i'm comfy, i couldn't care less what model it is or what the cockpit looks like.

hmm :S

;3873903']don't care. as long as it gets me places.

corcord back plz.

They only took it out cos of one crash, and it was c'cords fault!

Its not the aircraft that causes crashes, its the pilots ;) Airbus are great, well when I went on one.

No its not. If the aircraft engineers checked it before it took off and renewed parts every so often youd be cracking. mojave at some point though,.

Em. A380 even has a duty free shop.

My airbus motto,
If its airbus, Im calling my mam and tellin her I aint coming home!
L',FAO!!!!

LOL:|
guessing its based on the whale?
Whats it used for?
moving fat people?:s

It was used for transporting A380 Parts

Nope it is used to move fat habbos that spend to much time on the internet :eusa_danc. Could fit a petrol tanker on there.

No ^^^^ You could fit about 6 20 axle trucks in there.

What happend like?
Did they both pull up or something like that when that warning system started going off?

lol no :P If its not a boeing, im not going, soz.

I don't really care if the plane is an airbus or boeing, as long as it flies tbh.

They both have some good planes out now or in future Boeing with the 787(?) Dreamliner and Airbus with A380 so it's a bit of a tough decision but being from the UK....Airbus all the way.
