oh wait, it's just come up.
****, this is awful :(
there's a few qpr fans on the forum, it'll be devastating for the club. i remember when sol davis of luton got cancer last season and that reallt shook the club up, but that's nothing compared to this. i hope he didn't have a wife or kids. ahh.

I got that info as breaking news off BBC World.
aw, bless. he was so young and still had a life & career ahead of him.
yeah jord, there is a few QPR fans on the forum.
i think even if it's a player of your team, that's pretty much rubbish, or in the academy, whatever the situation, it's going to shake up the club, the team, the fans, and it may wreck their game play aswell.
rip ):

Jones, who last season earned a call-up to the England Under-19 squad, was set to miss the match with a foot injury. He joined the club at the age of 15 and made his professional debut against Watford in April 2006. The striker went on to make 35 appearances in all competitions last term - scoring six goals. QPR rejected a £200,000 bid from Colchester for Jones at the end of last season. He had yet to feature this season but was highly-rated by the club and had also attracted interest from Premier League clubs.
Jones would have been 19 on Tuesday.
Last year QPR were struck by tragedy when youth team player Kiyan Prince was stabbed to death outside his school at the age of 15.

Strange, I was up East Ham only yesterday. It's such a loss to the club and the game, the guy was a talent. When he penned that new deal, I was happy as larry. We played Palace last year and got thrashed but my mates in the Palace end said he stood out as our best. He scored the goal to start Cardiff's rot last year. It'll take time to recover after this tragic news.
R.I.P Jonesy :(
retract my statement R.I.P there lookin for people there at the time to give evidence
