I think you should put a little button in the middle
and have it sink in to create a cushion effect.

It looks more like a floor tile at the moment... Try to make it a bit rounder and make the lines in the middle go up in a round sort'a way... If you can understand what i'm saying it will look good...

yes it Does Look a bit uncomfortable. perhaps Make some high and low bits inside it and perhaps some creases to make it look more life like :D
