Music bosses are queuing up to sign Sam and Amanda to record contracts, and they hope to allow them to sing "Barbie Girl."
Sam and Amanda, who finished in second place on Friday's finale, have been offered a six-figure deal to record the tune by Danish group Aqua, according to a report in The Sun. There is also speculation that former friend and eventual winner of Big Brother 2007, Brian Belo, could rap on the track.
Last night a Channel 4 insider said: “Record companies have been contacting us asking to pass on their numbers. They are fighting over Samanda.
“A couple of them have had the same idea of getting Brian on board as well, possibly to do a rap. It would be total car-crash - but it would do brilliantly with all their fans.”
The song "Barbie Girl" was originally released in 1997 by Aqua and topped the Official UK Singles Chart for four weeks in September and October of that year.
Other former Housemates who have been linked to a record label include BB5’s winner Nadia who had a #27 single with “A Little Bit of Action”. BB6’s Kinga was at one point linked with a music deal, as too was BB7’s Nicki.
But will Samanda’s crusade on the charts be any more successful?
