A few days ago, a report emerged claiming that Big Brother 8 winner, Brian Belo, was being targeted on the grounds of his race. The Daily Star reported that a group of racist people on the Orange forum hatched a plan to ruin Brian's chances of winning the series.
A group of extreme right-wing bloggers took to the internet and labeled his relationship with Amanda as “sick and evil.” One blogger even described their romance as “unnatural and “sordid.”
Communications giant Orange were forced to remove more racist comments that appeared against the 19-year-old just days before Brian was eventually crowned as the winner of this series.
However other Big Brother fans have hit back at racist blogger’s, labeling them "shameful."
“This is supposed to be a discussion about an event on Big Brother" a fan wrote. "What is a real shame is that there are so many bigots out there that would use this platform to air their hatred.”
Another added: “It is 2007 and I am surprised we still have racism going on.”
A spokesperson for Big Brother said last night: ”As viewers are aware, Channel 4 does not condone racism of any sort."
