Today we got a letter addressed to my Grandma (who died 3 years ago) and on the envelope it said:

MRS B E LISTER (Deceased)

And inside it was a magazine advertising private car number plates :S

I don’t understand why they would send this to a dead person… SHE DIDN'T EVEN DRIVE!

It could just be a new (but sick) way of advertising. If you receive a letter addressed to someone who's been dead for several years, it's going to grab your attention.

yh but why wouldnt they just send it to the people who lived with the person who died, they would of still read it.

Yes, but it's going to make more of an impact if it's addressed to somebody who's dead, because the relatives will wonder who, and why somebody is sending mail to them. If they send it straight to the relatives, they'll just think 'junk mail' and it goes straight in the bin.

Yeah but it actually said on the letter "MRS B E LISTER(Deceased)"

Metric.

Did she live with you or did you move into her house when she died?

She lived with us for the last three months of her life.
