I hope all is well with you this week. Yeah, I know - for a lot of you, it's a bad week..back to school time! Some older Habbos are probably heading into Sixth Form College and even a few to Uni. It's all change for everyone, really - and Habbo is no different. Behind the scenes we're busily working away on some top secret stuff to make Habbo even better. Oh yes, top secret..so I can't say anymore..but don't worry, all will be revealed in time. :P That might cheer you up a bit!
Probably the biggest news this last week was Habbowood Digital Movie Awards (http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/habbowood/index.html) launching! How fantastic is Habbowood this year? Not only do you have the chance to create your own Habbo movie, but fantastic prizes (http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/habbowood/competition.html) including 1000 Habbo credits, and a trip to Hollywood! No, you heard me right - not Holyhead...Hollywood!! Best of all, you can get celebrity on Habbo - who doesn't want a little adoration from time to time! Never let it be said we don't try and do the best to help you out. We've even drafted in a BBC producer to give advice and select some of his favourite Habbowood movies. You can check out what he has to say here (http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/habbowood/producer.html).
Heidster has no blog this week as she’s busy rotating her real life sofas and stacking her Plasto chairs as she’s just moved house, but she promises she’ll be back blogging soon!
I’m quite excited about the impending visit of one Mr David Guetta (http://www.habbo.co.uk/news/article289.html). He’s one of the most in demand DJ’s out there, and I’ve been a fan of his stuff for a couple of years now. Of course he he’s hit the UK charts lately with “Love is Gone” and “Love Don’t Let Me Go” so more people than ever have heard of him. It’s quite cool to see him coming to Habbo! I hope everyone will “Get Up” (it’s one of his tracks from a few years back) and give him a big Habbo welcome when he arrives to visit us
I'll keep it short this week, as I've got 10,0000000 other things to do, but one final word about contacting Player Support. I'll say it many more times, and I'm sure I've said it before - writing rude emails, swearing at Player Support staff won't help your case at all. I'm surprised how many Habbos haven't realised that by now!
Speak soon everyone!
0rca's Whale of a Week
Right so I am late again for my blog :/ I always leave it until Thursday morning, not on purpose - I just I completely forget until Wednesday night. Arrrghhh... I'm supposed to get it in by end of business on a Wednesday. How can I remember to do it? I guess I just need to remember to but 20-30 mins aside on a Wednesday.
Anyway, my week has been pretty boring, although on Tuesday evening we had to rush to the vets. Otus was poorly, so at 11pm we were on our way back after him getting a jab. He had a tummyache and was grinding his teeth, which means he was in pain. Poor little man. When I got his carrier out, Toadflax did a runner, as he thought he was going lol Anyway it cost us £92, for one injection! :O It was because we got the vet out of bed and were charged £65 for the privilege. Oh well, can’t complain because our vet is great. Anyway I have had to put off Otus going to meet his new woman, as it's not fair on him if he has been poorly so we are off next weekend now. Mr 0rca is a little relieved as it means he has another week to finish the hutch!

We were bored a few weeks ago, I had enough of sitting in doors watching TV or playing games, so we decided we would play Monopoly, although I said the money may blow away (as we wanted to play outside) so Mr 0rca went down to town and picked up the new one that uses credit cards instead of cash. It is great so much easier than using notes. I won the game of course ;)
Ohhh we have a celebrity visit next week. We haven’t had one in a while, make sure you all go along, read all about it here (http://www.habbo.co.uk/news/article289.html”). I love celebrity visits. My favourite has to be Claire Cooper just because she is in a soap. Talking about soaps do any of you guys watch Hollyoaks? There is one story line about Anorexia at the moment which is really good. It reminds me of a session we were doing in R U Thinking, about peer pressure. One girl in Hollyoaks has been kind of pressured into not eating, she had an eating disorder, but then met a girl who made it so much worse and it has gone out of control now. It isn’t very nice to watch it happen, but it is very informative. If you think you may be going down this route take a look here (http://www.childline.org.uk/Eatingproblems.asp) for advice.
We are back on top of things in the Habbo help tool now, looks like we are all up to date, wooo! I need to do a competition, I haven’t done one is AGES, I need some inspiration, guys sign my guest book and help me think of a really good competition. Whichever I choose, I will send you a pressie.
That's all from me, have a good week folks and see you next time. Oh btw, a certain person in the PS team had a birthday this week, so Disarno HAPPY Birthday. Make sure you all go sign his Guestbook and wish him “Many Happy Returns”!!!
Akela!'s Week
http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album2108/akela_wave.gifGoodness me I have been busy! I didn’t even manage to write a Blog last week, did you miss me? ... Don’t all shout at once now, LOL.
By the time you read this you should all be back at school. I am hoping that the return went well for you all and you are not too sad to see the end of the long summer break. Not that it’s been much like summer weatherwise, but hey a break is a break! I’m off on a late holiday in two weeks time so I am hoping this Indian summer we are having now lasts a bit longer.
I had a wonderful response to my CATION competition. Now those of you in the “know” will be clued up why I call it that. So, to Undiminished (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/Undiminished); who sent in a lovely entry but said “Also are you sure the competition isn't a CAPTION not cation?”, have a read of blog 29 (http://www.habbo.co.uk/help/ps_blog/week_29_07.html) and see where I explained my new word! Also thanks also to Umuted (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/Umuted) who also sent in a lovely entry but if I were you I would hide before 0rca sees it:
“Day 65 in the Big Habbo House, Toadflax is sitting in a Flower Pot”
Shock horror! Quickly go read blog 33 (http://www.habbo.co.uk/help/ps_blog/week_33_07.html) and spot the difference between the cat in the pot and Toadflax! I feel an 0rca slap heading your way!
OK - to the winners! This has been REALLY tough! I am going to give 4 runners up Akela! Trophies and a trophy and surprise gift the winner. So in no particular order:
Runners up:
Munch101 (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/Munch101)“Is that Akela! again with her camera? Can I not get to sleep anywhere?”
Tilet (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/Tilet)
“Who says cats can't grow on plants? I beg to differ!”
Rubbles (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/Rubbles)“After years of development designers in Japan have unveiled the new modern day jack in the box... say hello to cat in the pot!”
kaotix12 (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/kaotix12)
"Bill & Ben move over, the star has arrived!"
The overall winner is Rivalry (http://www.habbo.co.uk/home/Rivalry)
"I hope when she's out watering she sees me this time!"
Well done to everyone, the entries were brilliant I loved reading them all and laughed a lot. Watch this space for another CATION competition soon! That’s all from me this week. As always Have fun and stay safe!
