MOD-KITTY to e Rescue! NOT *Screenie

Okay so my lil sister was playing & this girl tries to scam her. She says something like "Give me the rares now & in 5 minutes I will send u 30 credits to your purse". So I report her right. At first.. nothing happens. Then to our delight, Mod-Kitty shows up and well.. judge for yourself. I was going :eusa_wall :eusa_wall :eusa_wall OMG JUST SHOOT ME!!.

The scammer denies it. I mean that has never happened before!

To my question as to why she doesnt just ban the owner [scammer], Mod-Kitty replied with "I prefer to educate."

I just gotta say.. If Mod-Zippy or Mod-Aioria or Mod-Elux were there.. I tells ya.. give them a second & poof.. that girl gets a perm.:eusa_danc But Mod-Kitty prefers this.. she's the Mod.. she should know best so perhaps letting the scammer go is the best response.. :S

i think all the MODs each have their own preference on what to do in this situation. As the trade appears to have not been completed, no scam has actually taken place, only an attempt to scam, I don't think any rules have been broken, which is why Kitty didn't ban straight away.

You have to take into account scammin will never leave habbo if MOD's start banning everyone that scams there wont be anyone left to play habbo and then the MOD's wont have a job. Thats my idea of thinking why MOD's dont ban much :P

I guess I just find it surprising that Mod-Kitty actually bothered to show up but didnt bother to ban. It's a new approach that I'm not used to seeing.. I guess because most other mods will issue perm bans once things like "free creds fr me" are said.

I suppose the more prevailing method of handing out perm bans in a snap does get more people banned unjustly. But then again, you have to take into consideration that at the time Mod-Kitty was on, there were like 200 people on. For some other Mods, that figure is usually tenfold. Yeah, that's probably why she showed up & educated.

I think all mods should have the same solution to everything as a whole and not a personal preference to what they feel is right. They were all taught the same stuff, why must they go there own way?

Agreed, Is is a much better way of dealing with scammers/frauds, then just giving perms.

Before they improve themselves [if they ever do], they destroy other people [to some extent, depending on the scale of the scam]. So.. the mods ban these people for destroying others or attempting. This way they cant go on doing it :)

MOD-Kitty is Akela!, and PS are always giving people more chances to learn, so she'd of banned on MOD-Kitty, and lifted on Akela!, so it does make sense in a way. Personally I think (s)he should be permed, then they'd be gutted, then appeal, warning them they've got a second chance and then lift it. Ino it wastes time, but I think it's more likely to stop the scammer, scamming. Or it could just be attempt to keep the visitors up on Habbo? Flooding now allowed? Swearings allowed? If MOD-Kitty doesn't leave logs of what she says on Habbo, she could possibly be losing her job. Her purpose is to keep everyone safe and intact. The problem with people like her is that she runs on her own one-way street.

Besides, Habbo has decreased the amount of "restrictions" so people would stop sending in complaints. Sulake is being bashed constantly by people and companies over and over again.

Habbo is a disaster and no one can deny it, not even Lost_Witness can change our minds even if he bribed us with unreleased rares.

Haha one time this guy got permed right after saying the funniest thing, "as if I did I would be banned" in response to "what if u scam me". Haha I've the screenie for that too it's pretty sweet.

Another time this guy said something like, "You're a thick b****. I gave you simple instructions to follow to get the free creds" but I didnt co-operate. I replied by saying "We'll see who's thick. I already reported u, it's a matter of time" Before he could say something he got permed. Hahaa
