The Current Reputation situation.. "sucks"
Ok summary, basically every minus rep gets removed thus only positive rep is usually given.

Only pointless minus rep deserves to be removed for example if it has no relevance to the post and or has no comment worth and value.
I Agree with the no pointless reputation rule however this is contradicted with buy able rep which ruins the system.
Reputation shouldn't be able to be brought because it ruins the idea of reputation.
Reputation is there to see how trust worthy a person is.
"repute: the state of being held in high esteem and honor"
if all minus reputation points are removed this means people will always be gaining reputation where it might not be deserved thus making people think a person is trusted when s/he is not.

Haha i remember when i repped you saying if u had vip you would know who sent it:P or summit like that.

But i do agree but at the end of the day someone with lots of rep can still scam you even if its gained properly.

When I remove reputation I always try and make sure the pointless reputation is removed. However, when I refuse to remove it people start saying I am being unfair. Well it isn't really unfair as the unfair thing would be to remove it when it's valid.

Unfortuatley, people rep with rude things, pointless comments, or invaild comments. Which means I have to remove it as it breaks the rules. However, what I may start doing is removing pointless good rep I see when removing the pointless bad rep. But I'm not sure if that will go down well with the Management, we shall see :)

I don't think I did, I sometimes look at the post to see if the comment is okay for the post, I don't bother just removing any bad rep. I try and check the situation

And it's strange how many people started going "PLEASE DONT REMOVE MY POINTLESS GOOD REP" to me on MSN :rolleyes: I haven't even said I am yet, just suggesting an idea.
