IGN spoke to Microsoft Australia about the leak and asked whether the company will be tracking the culprits down - to which they responded with an unsurprising "no comment". IGN also queried Microsoft on whether they would ban the XBox Live account of a user playing Halo 3 before the launch date, to which yet another revelatory "no comment" was given.

It's still unclear how the copies of the games were leaked in the first place.

Think of it like Harry Potter 5 (or whatever book there is now), they are most likely going to spoil it for some people. If I liked Halo, I would wait, but I don't really have an interest in that type of game. It would be interesting to find out where the leak came from.

Its easy enough to get a copy tbh, I know someone who works at GAME and he used to sell my brother copies of games like 1-2 weeks before they were released.

Halo 3 is probably a bit more under wraps and has a bit more of a tighter security around it.

Well considering it only went gold last week, I don't think that any copies other than those have been leaked. You would need to work for microsoft to get your hands on one.

It'll proberly be leaked before then, there's a hell lot of people who are desperate to know and a few of them might know how to sneak a copy or two. I'm gonna stay away from the internets from September 23rd - September 28th , most people will aswell anyway.

Good point, and I think some legal arrests went down after some guys spoiled Halo 2. Maybe it won't happen again...
