Do you think they're over rated?

Well duhh... 3000 people die in America and they're remembered every day through America and half of Europe and wherever else; more than that amount of people die in Africa and no one cares? (To be honest I don't care, but I don't care about either. (That may sound hypocritical, but it's not really))

overrated?! how can you overrate something of such an impact?
i find it disgusting you can even question it ;s
I'd say so, everyone is like "9/11 is the biggest disater known to man"
Well..No it isn't, countless thousands of Jews were killed in concentration camps during World War 2 and you say 2 buildings being destoryed and 3000 people dying is worse?
What about Africa? Hundreds of people, including children die every week in Africa but does everyone say "We all need to help Africa" no, they don't some people do but everyone seems to think 9/11 was huge, but it wasn't, America dropped an A-Bomb on Hiroshima which killed around about 70,000 people directly and about 60,000 people through radiation poisoning and you say 9/11 was the worst disaster, 3,000 people big woop, yes it's sad that people lost their lifes but that was like 6 years ago, get over it, the past is the past and whining about it wont help

I agree with Neil.

I agree with Neil also. It is over-rated. There is no need to remember any event in history. The future would not care, what is the main point is that you're alive now, you could not change what happened in the past.

Overrated in terms of what happened, no. Overrated in terms of what it is, yes. Some terrorists flew a plane into a building, tragically killing a lot of people. People need to accept it for what it is instead of making up all theories.

Urgh, conspiracy theories are aload of crap. The idiots who made them up probably deserve life imprisonment to make sure no more crap is spread around to dumb people who believe the illogical. If the US Government did do it, why did they employ terrorists to fly planes into the building? Most theories don't mention anything about the planes with the terrorists and the accounts of people who were in contact with the 2 planes. They just say bombs blew up the towers at the foot of them, nothing about the actual planes hitting them.
"They heard explosions from the bottom of the towers." If you sound a horn from the top of a building, you will hear it at the bottom, it's called soundwaves bouncing around the lower buildings and then back towards the building it came from etc.
Not to mention no experts back up the theories.
Hell no....?

As for all the people who were too quick to actually form an opinion, maybe use your brain more.
Thanks for your replys. :)

yeah, 9/11 sucked, the Pearl Harbor was so amazing but they had to ruin it with a sequal, goshhh.

9/11 isn't over-rated because 3000 people died in two massive tower blocks which were flown into by Aeroplanes.
So no, it isn't over-rated.

I wouldn't say its over -rated I'd just say we need to put it behind us and remember the people who died in a good way
i heard how the US Government planted bomb in the building and then flew the aeroplane into it.. the reason why they done it is to have war with iraq to get there OIL.. am not 100% sure if it real but that what i HEARD.. so it might be ablot of ** but i dnt kno.. the reason i said they planted the bomb in the building is because how suddenly the tower just collapes from top to bottom in seconds.. it mad but US sucks!

Yea I heard about it being for oil, like first it was revenge or whatever, then they "found out" about "chemical weapons" but I'm pretty sure nothing was found, then it became obvious that it was just for oil, and apparently how they want us to "embrace" their religion, I donno just getting boring now, it's like watching a badly made black and white war movie that has alot of betrayal in it

i agree we need to put it behind us, but it's not just about the people that died, more about how we changed our entire foreign policy after it happened. hell it's even like time has split in two; if you're ever talking about foreign policy, you have to say either "pre-9/11" or "post-9/11"
