Death

An AS350B2 Squirrel helicopter registered to McRae [1] crashed 1 mile north of Lanark, Scotland on 15 September 2007, which is close to the McRae family home. McRae is known to be a keen helicopter pilot, and his agent Jean-Eric Freudiger says he and his 5 year old son Johnny were killed in the crash,[6] in which Strathclyde police confirm there were no survivors.[7] Formal identification of the dead is not expected for some time.

seems he is?

I don't see how they can because they couldn't follow/get ideas from a dead rally driver...

He may still be alive, its not for sure that he was on that helicopter. However, I guess he would have come forward, or someone would have heard from him since if he wasn't.

LONDON (AFP) — British rally driver Colin McRae and two children -- including his five-year-old son -- were among the four passengers killed in a helicopter crash this weekend in Scotland, police said Sunday.

It has been confirmed that Colin Mcrae, his son Johnny, and 2 family freinds have been killed in the helicopter crash which took place on his land when the helicopter came down and burst into flames.

RIP

It could have been worse, if Alister and Jimmy were onboard, but thankfully they were not.

I don't like the way people are remembering him by his games [which is a lot] but at least you're remembering him.

On another note, the game was licensed to Colin McRae to increase sales of the game not because he was involved in the development [although he was, as was Travis].

I think a tribute game will probably come out but maybe not in his name [depends on the contract status]. If not, Travis will do something in his memory.

Quite possibly the best ever racing driver ever [over every race type (F1, Rally, Drag, Superbike etc)].

RIP.

As my family are rally drivers, and I will be a rally driver in 3 years time, I will always remember him for his driving, and not his games.

Games can be remade, he cant.
