They can't get your IP address unless they have mod CP or even higher.

lol..
1 they can't get our IP address cause i doubt no admin here would give it.
2 changing it won't help if you've been on your runescape account with that ip.

thats the thing, if you change your ip, Jagex would be like "oh it wasnt his IP so he wasnt on acc, that means that some1 hacked him" you appeal that some1 hacked you. since ur ip changed, your basically changing ur identity.

Yeh most of them are auto-replies.
It sucks as when I was trying to get Reich2 back they asked for my IP address and if i had moved etc and I thought I could actually get that account back but then I got an auto-reply saying "You need to add more passwords details" Or something along them lines.

Same, Jagex need to hire more staff to actually read through the appeals.
Or set up a new system where if you answer so many questions/supply alot of info it gets checked in person.

They should have like hobbas, working away from office but ability to ban/read appeals, etc.
I would readily join, a lvl 122 with 0 blackmarks might get me there =P

Not a bad idea. :P
But Jagex would need to create a company network, which they probably already have but I doubt it would be accesable from a home computer. Just an office network, and they would have to choose these people very carefully as they could just wondering around and ban someone such as Zezima, for the fun of it.

if ur account is two years old and has had the same ip, changing it now wouldnt that look like your a hacker?

whats changing your ip gonna do?
Lol mods on HxF wont give our ip's reason is some of them buy rs gp
:Delirium

im not talking about mods here that give our ips to jmods, its like when you commit a felony, (usually r/l world trading) and you change your ip and you talk like you werent on the acc when it happened, they compare ur current ip and the ip that the account last used, so basically your changing your identity, i think thats how it goes =D

Mods can't see IPs anyway. I really don't think a J mod was here at hxf :).

It is a very small chance that a jagex mod came on here, and if they did they can't prove that you own the account you are said to be trading with as they do not have your ip.
If you have your RS name in your sig, but you don't do any real world trading, then are you safe..? :P

Of course your safe amy should just ask me on msn next time :P

its not a good idea to leave your name in sig cause they might ban every1 here with a known rs acc, because we all belong to a community which does tons of rule breaking =D
