Shrinking?

A few weeks ago I was 5ft 4, and now I'm just below 5ft 4, like inbetween 5ft3 and 5ft4...
wth is going on?

Am I like, what, shrinking or something?

but ive measured myself about 5 times now and theyve all come up as the same thing, just inbetween them measurments.
a few weeks ago i measured myself many times and it was defo 5ft'4

I don't think you'll be shrinking though, that doesn't happen so don't worry!

when u go sleep u shrink in height due to gravity pulling all ya body and not just one part and when u wake up if u streach u will be abit taller than u normaly are. then later on in the day u shrink bk to ya normal size, so it could just be that u streached that morning u was on 5ft.4 and u didnt when u next messared

You're taller when you wake up than you are at the end of the day, cos gravity pushes all your joints together. When you sleep, your body grows back to its normal height [plus a little bit more].

Also perhaps, that time before you didnt measure it properly, this time u did though ;)

As many others have said, your height differs in the morning and the night.

By the end of the day you are smaller than at the beggining, so don't worry! :).

Always measure your height in the morning because as you go through the day, gravity compresses your spine, forcing the segments together, making your shorter, at night when you sleep horizontally (I hope XD!), the segments in your spine get the chance to slacken up and move farther apart, this is generally the reason why when you wake up in the morning and sit up, if you look straight down (while tilting your head :rolleyes:) your neck and back will ache and sometimes hurt (this is because your stretching your spine which as are long as it can be comfortably)

it depends when abouts in the day you measure yourself.
you're always a bit shorter in the evening than in the morning because as the day goes on, gravity pulls you down slightly.

Its not impossible to shrink....its just not common with people under 70 :P
Could be a number of factors...time of day you were measured, if someone different measured you, what shoes you were wearing, how you were standing, tape measures used, how they rounded it....loads.
If its only an inch or two dont worry. Its when they tell you, youre half a foot shorter that you need to worry i thinks :)
