My mam is into working with homeless kids and disabilties things like that, and shes had this idea of opening up a cafe and it would be ran by people who have less visable learning diffaculties and behaviour.
I think it could work, we wont loose any money because the govermant will give us a grant. But i was just wondering if you would go to it if it was near you? (Not that it will be but say one was open near you)
No money would be made, it would just all go back into the business.

I would definitely get involved with such a thing. I'm really interested in helping with that sort of stuff and I think a lot of others are - the real thing you need to concentrate on initially is how to get teens and stuff involved and market it to those who would actually be interested.
Good luck with it for your mum! :)

Aye, Well i have ASD and everyone in my school has some sort of problem or other also i know two other schools in my area where people are like that. Plus where she has worked before she knows people so that shouldnt be that hard a problem.
All im afraid is that we wont get much custom plus shops can cost a bomb these days:\
Thanks for all the comments everyone:)

It would of course depend on what the people who were working there had wrong with them :o if they were slobbering in my lunch i think i would give it a miss. people may say im out of order with my comment but im just pointing out the obvious.

I'm not being out of order or anything, but how do you know they've like not drooled into the food or anything?

If a cafe opened near me and was ran like that, I'd be the #1 customer.

I would go to it if it were near me and i wanted to go to a cafe. I probably wouldn't go just because it had those staff, nor would i avoid going for the same reason.

Sounds good, I would love one to be open near me. If not I would take a holiday trip with some of my friends to visit your mums cafe :D

I'd go if prices were good, just because that's how I operate ^_^ but yeah I reckon it should go well, if you have it advertised properly I'm sure a place like that could really pick up
