it was useful in the postbit, because a lot of people get mixed up for being the opposite gender which ****** a few members off i think.

It always used to be there so why not now? Its a quick and easy reference thats why. Also it has been replaced by the blogs which are not really being used in any sensible fashion at all. I'm sure it would be considered. My own view is that I like it how it is, the user profiles have more use and meaning to them. Too many lines make the postbit look just so ugly and out of place.

The point is that some people just post not because they actually agree or disagree with a thread but just to ingratiate themselves with a particular member of the senior management. I am not saying you do it on purpose but most of your recent posts would lead most people to that conclusion. It maybe right or it maybe wrong but thats my opinion. Nothing to do with trying to make myself look big as to do that is really a load of nonsense.

You asked me the question I gave you the answer so it was in the context of the thread. Whether people seem credible is judged on the quality of their posts. I am not sure if you have the right word there 'hyprocrite' because one thing I am not known for is ingratiating myself to management. Anyway the majority of people seem to agree that that gender should be put back.

You have brought a subject into another thread to continue the argument, to put me into more stress and have more heart problems. That is how I feel and that is what you are doing.

My motives are that I am trying to stress my feelings. But every time I do, I get flammed and many users "pick" upon me because I am wrong, and they are right. Every time. So I can't win.

Because it is relevant to the thread - it does seem like you are just posting to impress a certain member of the senior management - obviously others are seeing that too. Nobody is picking on anybody and if anything calling me a hyprocrite is pretty rude too. Who am I to say who is wrong or right? You call it an arguement and -rep. I call it a discussion. My view is, if your too lazy to click view profile, you don't deserve to know their gender.

But seriously, I don't really care about what gender of the poster is. And if i really want to know then I can always click "view profile". There's no point in making the postbit look messier for no reason.

In some threads it helps if you know the other persons gender who your replying to.

I think if you want to read a blog then view it from the persons profile and put the gender back or remove blogs and have less on show.

My thoughts exactly. Gender is far more useful in more situations than location, although in an ideal situation both would be good.

The location and/or the join date being removed for it would be a good idea. Because why is when you joined or where you live important?

It's also better to have it in the post bit so that when people make a thread in the fashion, relationship or whatever forums, you know what kind of advice/sites to give without giving loads of advice for the wrong gender. And, it beats having to view their profile all the time just to see their gender which takes time and whats the point when you can have it in the post bit instead? Which makes it alot easier!
