Apparenlty Chess boards were rares in the early ages of Habbo Hotel and people used to script them (so i've been told. Might not be true)
and it says in the FAQ's that they are. Here is a picture of a chess board i found on a Finnish Fansite. Also Tick tac toe (see picture below).

What is Scripted Furni?
Scripted furni are items of furni that were made illegally, if you are caught trading these items you will be banned from Habbo.

Scripted Furni:

* Pods of colours not in Catalogue
* Bear rugs of colours not in Catalogue
* Stickies of colours not in Catalogue
* Chess board
* Mountain Dew machines

Also i found this Christmas tree (post xmas) It might have been around or it might be an alt. you decide.

Yes, they were avaliable for a very short period of time, but then it became a scripting nightmare because the colour could be altered and kept permenant.

Erm that christmas tree is a very good alt, same with tic tac toe i think. The chessboards we're lame because i think all you could do was hold it, i never saw one put down in a room but i saw plenty of "small plants" :P

I never knew finland had a scripted tic tac toe :S and i think the crimbo tree is an alt, i remember seeing it under an alt's page, but i also think i've seen it on news as scripted.

The chess boards originated from the ones in the cunning fox gamehall, some sort of script was taken from it and put into private rooms, im not a big scripter so i dunno what happened.

I traded a chessboard for a samovar when i was new to habbo.. it stuck to my hand, and stayed there. Dunno where it is now.. i think it is still on my old habbo, Lleoh

Christmas trees is an alt. whereas Tic Tac Toe is just nicked from the gamehall. And i think chessboards did exist and you could hold them but nothing more.

The tree was releaced the first christmas of 2001 - they then altered it so it was a tree with no decorations. I know someone with the chessboard still also.

You couldn't put them down. They were very easily scripted using artmoney and you could put them in the catalogue instead of a 1 credit/2 credit item e.g love duck was the one used the most at the time.

You couldn't use them, not even to put in your room. They were deleted a couple of weeks after they got into scriptors hands.

Rareoid, they could be put down using a program that Johno(MOD-Johno) made. you had to set the co-ordinates of where you wanted it to go.

Yeh, The chessboards aren't an alt as reeski said, they where used in private rooms because some leet dude found out the sprite in the Cunning game hall.. and used it to his advantage to make it appear in private rooms. there's your story and the christmas tree was used for BETA testing on kultakala with the tic-tac-toe board.
