what do you write on the covering letter of a CV?

that's the CV itself isn't it?
i was told to do a covering letter to, but i have no idea what to put on it.

Oh right. I don't know what they're for then. When I hand them out I just give that :)

yeah same usually but they asked for a covering letter and i was like "...ok" :S!

'The covering letter puts flesh on the bare bones of the CV. It points out to the employer the information showing that you have the qualities the job calls for, and makes a statement about yourself and your suitability for the job. It should give the personal touch that your CV will intrinsically lack.'

You just basically say "Look at me I'm good I can use computers blah blah". Like a HabboX application I guess but for real life.
