We've got Brizzle Rovers at home. We will win 8-0.. with Westwood scoring all 8 in front of a packed-out Brunton Park.

Aye Rovers at home will probably be a tough game, especially if we play like we have been recently. The introduction of Joe Anyinsah from Preston might hopefully do us some good ;).

Jamie!
21-09-2007, 05:12 PM
What you reckon the team will be? I reckon we should go;

http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/6766/teamyg2.png (http://imageshack.us)

With Anyinsah filling the position on the right-wing. Reckon we should give J Smith another go on the left to see what he is like when we play out wide (Which we should do with a right-winger on the pitch, so we don't just hoof it to Graham/Garner). If he has another crap game, I'd stick Hackney on at HT.

Grainger@CUFC
21-09-2007, 05:16 PM
Noooooooooooooooooooooooo. You can't play Gall anymore. I don't care what anyone says, he's had too many chances in the team to improve already. He runs his socks off all game, but never comes up with a finished product.

Play 4-4-2. Have Anyinsah on the right as you said and stick Hackney on the left with Smith playing LCM. Apart from that, it's the team I chose at school. Oh and if Smith has a bad game, get Joyce on!

Jamie!
21-09-2007, 05:24 PM
Hackney can't start, he is more of an impact player. Well, the games he has started in this year, he hasn't been half as good as he is when he comes on as a sub. Only reason Gall has been playing **** is because he has been playing on the right-wing, which ain't his position.. he should be playing up front feeding off Graham and Garner in my opinion.

Playing 4-4-2 would just make us carry on playing hoof-and-run.

Grainger@CUFC
21-09-2007, 05:26 PM
That's why you start Hackney so him and Ziggy can link up which was so successful for under Simpson. I agree with Gall playing out of position. He played there last year though and he played ok so why should be any different now? Anyways, if you're not happy with Hackney starting, play Smith on the left and have Joyce at LCM instead :P.

won 2-1 at home to port vale
but should of finished them off by half time AGAIN
they had a man sent off and still managed to score in the 90th minute
but main thing is we got the three points.

see arsenal thumped derby 5-0
early on but an early gap starting to appear.

Drew 1-1 with Bristol Rovers at home. Yet another awful display. We were clueless in midfield - Gall and Lumsdon didn't know what they were doing. Again, it was up to the introduction of Simon Hackney at half time and the appearance of Joe Anyinsah to get things going.

They took the lead from a corner on 13 minutes when Steve Elliott got in a good header which was enough to separate Westwood and whoever was on the post. The equalisier came on 69 minutes, when Danny Graham headed a shot from Hackney's cross which was intially saved, but he fired the rebound into the roof of the net.

Rovers should of won the game with the amount of chances they had. Someone hit the side netting with a volley when they should of scored and a mix up between Murphy and Westwood led to a backheel hitting the post.

Need to gain confidence and start moving for the ball if we're going to get results at Bournemouth and Hartlepool.

We drew 2-2 with preston and yet again we outclassed the other team.

We should have scored 6-7 but their two goals were good.

Roger Johnson was unconscious and if he doesn't play the next league game we will have no centre-backs who actually play there

Charles

Won 2-0. We're 18th place now^^

Other teams probably put it in their tactics to come here and play rubbish. If they play good they'll probably lose.

We seem to be playing rubbish away and winning.

I guessed kinda right :P
wow, atmosphere was great at match i think we are playing great football
and deserve to do well

next match is against gillingam who seem to be getting hammered by everyone, so if we lose a streak to these we want kicking up the ***

neyways speaking of arsenal ^^ not a bad transfer of taking out malouda and bringing in fabegras as my captain, to score 28 points + bonuses to come
:)

lol you cant just write a team off before the game has even began:P
but 5-0 and a adebayor hat trick:O

Aflux

Adebayor will be immense, as with Fabregas - he's only 20!

We still won't win the title this year, but whilst we're top I need to gloat, gloat gloat :P.

You have to admit, Wenger is a genius.

i agree
and there is already a gap starting to appear between arsenal and the rest of the pack aslong as they keep playing well and getting the 3 points the gap will become even larger but its west ham away next weekend and they have always been a bogie team for you.

We drew 0-0 at home to Birmingham :(, if we are going to challenge for the league then were gonna have to play our best team most games and finish teams off especially the lower teams. (No offence btw)

benitez was at his old rotation rubbish again today i heard
leaving torres on the bench? my personal opinion is he needs to try and start the same 11 each week and then maybe it may all start to come toegther

Jamie!
22-09-2007, 09:26 PM
Thought it was an alright game today.. A big improvement on recent perfomances anyways. Most, if not all of their chances came from our silly little mistakes.

We're still lacking that killer instinct up front mind, the stats prove this. We had 12 attempts on target today, and 13 attempts off target. But, only maybe 2 or 3 of them actually had the keeper working.
