Not much.. usually something fairly small for Christmas as they have to buy for the whole family too, and then a bit more for birthday, but still like £70 tops I reckon. We're not a rich family, but hell there's not much I want. I'm grateful for my parents in everything that they do for me, and I think being able to say that and mean it is worth a lot more than whatever they could buy. This year though I'm gonna be 18 so it's a bit of a bigger birthday if you get my meaning, and I think I'm getting a car.

Sorta, but my dad aint tight with money atall... He's perfectly happy with the bare minimum for himself and spend as much as he can on others... Which makes me feel lucky really, and Plus my b'days and christmas' cost less for him than my little brothers b'days and christmas' and even random stuff >.< He's the spoilt brat :P Obviously I'm not complaining as I could be too, I just choose not to take advantage :) There is more important things than stuff and money Imo :)

I don't understand why some of you get more for Xmas :S.

I usually get £100-£300 on my birthday, and £100-£200 for Xmas. I'm not bothered though, I don't ask for much but I'm alright as long as I get what I asked for.

ChainLightning
24-09-2007, 04:22 PM
In pure cash, probably varies for birthdays. Like this year i got 60, but the year before i got 120. So id say between 50 and 150 quid (Once i got 150 :D) Christmas its always the same, like a tenner off each person, and 40/50 off mum and dad, so 80-130 quid. On presents, birthdays i hardly get any presents, so 40-100 quid. Xmas is like 200-300. ^^ And this year, if they get me what i want itll be hitting on 500  HEEHEE.

24-09-2007, 05:02 PM
about £400-£500 collectively, so £200 each way rly. if i want a bigger present then i would get a deduction from one, but it doesn't matter as my bday is quite near to xmas :D

wth there's only like 3 or 4 of us in this thread who get small amounts, is HxF a fairly rich society or something? I'm middle class so not exactly a peasant or anything, but lol there's loads of people having like £500+ spent on them a year just by way of presents. You guys who gets many hundreds, are you typically only children or what?

Browney
24-09-2007, 05:38 PM
Yeah, I agree FJ, I'm like a child of 4 and one brother-in-law. I think I get lucky for about £150+ worth each for Christmas and my birthday.

Nope, I have 1 brother... As I said, my dad is happy with the bare minmum for himself and just doesnt care how much money he spends on me and my brother. I aint spoilt, my brother is :) I wouldent really say were rich, because I'd probably class people 'rich' when they have £100,000's in the bank

For my birthday I just usually get a few little things, never amounts to anything more than £70 i'd say. Will probably be more this year because its my 18th. For christmas it'd be a bit more, about £100-120 I guess.. but yeah it does appear alot of people here seem to be hellishly spoilt..

Well I usually get like £100-£200 for my birthday, but over the years its gone down because I'm getting older! I got £400 all together this year from cards, parents etc as it was my 18th, but now I doubt I'll get much because I'm over 18 - £100 at the most probs.

Christmas I usually get around the same as my birthday.
