Hello there!

The Department of Culture, Media and Sport have deemed the RAF Red Arrows as Unsuitable for the 2012 Olympics because they are too British.

This is a ridiculous decision and should be overturned in the name of common sense.

Please sign if you believe this is CRAZY!

Thanks,
Jake Hall.

BTW: Yes I know this is in the wrong section -> I don't care. This is the place I feel it will get most views. Move it if you dare.

I think it has, I heard something about it being allowed, not too sure though. My name is also on that list... somewhere.

This allegation is not true. The Government has not banned the Red Arrows from the London 2012 Olympic Games. The organising committee of London 2012 will decide what to include in the Opening Ceremony and other celebrations - but with almost five years to go, decisions are yet to be made on what these will look like.

And of course the Red Arrows played a memorable role in the celebrations for 2012, when they flew over Trafalgar Square to mark London winning the Games.

That's on the website.

Known three of what? The pilots?

The pilots only fly for 2 years then change, so I doubt that.

.... I think you can still know a red arrows pilot for 3 years... they become 'former' pilots... but you can still know them

They would be back to squadron duties and would have left the reds, making them not Red Arrow pilots.

Not nesisarily, some go to reserves (not going back to squadrons).

Making them former red arrows 'pilots'

which is almost exactly what i said in my previous post. he claims to know them for 3 years... maybe hes mistaking it for two.. or perhaps thoose that have gone bck to active duty he still knows.. theres no rule that says you loose a friend when they change duties

Most of them go to squadrons as they are that good as pilots, or maybe to another display team. Reserves is still a squadron. IE:

Squadron 111 Reserves.

Which makes them no longer Red Arrow pilots "/.
