youtube. it's where i heard it first. song by song.
anyways, the pitchfork review (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/45760-echoes-silence-patience-and-grace) is basically what i think.

Either retire or get a kick up the backside and realise some people who listen to music actually have an opinion; then go back to their roots. The Colour and the shape was their best album by far.
Fortunately for the Foo's, they're such a big band and get a fair bit of radio airtime, so their album will sell like hotcakes.

i disagree. while it may be their best, the self titled album has long been considered great as well. as a matter of fact, the self-titled has almost unanimously better reviews than tc&ts. the only problem with tc&ts is it's inconsistency. there are amazing and epic songs on it, but the lesser half really brings it down [enough space, my poor brain etc]. the great songs of course make up for it and give it it's reputation.

Oh I agree with you, but my personal opinion is that it's the best album, since it has (again, my opinion) their best 2 songs on it (My Hero, Everlong).
Upto the second CD of In Your Honor; I'd say they were on for a good length legendary career.

im uncertain on my favorite, it's one of the two. all the self titled songs are great, but while there's a mix of good and bad on tc&ts, the ones that are good are straight out amazing.
