Can you take medicine?

After my operation, they gave me some medication.

First they offered me tablets, but I can't take them. Then they gave me capsules, but I can't take them either.

So they had to give me liquid - which I can just about swallow if it's strawberry flavour. But it makes me so sick :(

I can't take injections either.

So like, what types of medicine can you take?

I can take pretty much everything I think.
Capsules, medicene, injections.

I dont like any of them, but if they're gonna make me feel better then I'd obviously take them than suffer any more pain!

i can "block" alot of pain - its all mental tbh.

erm, when i had my ops i had this discusting smelling and revolting tasting cream-coloured liquid that was just eurgh.
the taste is in your mouth for hours on end.

when i was younger i could never take tablets, i had like a phobia of them getting stuck in my throat and what not lol, but i guess i just grew out of it.

I don't like taking Medicine, I can, but don't like to.
If I'm in pain I generally get on with life, but it felt like I had been shot in the head today, so took some painkillers, can only take them with water.

i can't swollow tablets, so i make do with calpol! :D

I cant take pills in 1 swallow.. Have too chew first. And some pills you can chew first so i supoes i cant take them :o

never used to be able to take tablets or pills.

but when you in a serious amount of pain, i just took them. simple rly.

I find it alright to swallow capsules and tablets and stuff

I feel sick with medicine.
I've had anti-biotics before when I was younger, I could drink that; strawberry flavour :].
I hate taking tablet, I refuse to take any. Paracetomal, etc.
I hate taking liquid medicine too.
I always throw up.
But I suppose taking them will make me feel better. But I just cant take any if you get me.

Most people throw up because they're so determined they will throw up.
I take whatever. Not particularly nice, but they didn't make medicine for it to taste nice.

I just put the tablet in my mouth and drink lots of water once I tried without water and I started gagging so meh

I'll take any liquid medicine but I hate swallowing things whole. If theres a pill or something I need to swallow whole, I'll break it up, put it in my mouth then wash it down with water. Although it tastes really horrible that way.

I used to have difficulty swallowing tablets and all sorts, but now I deal with it. :)
And, btw whoever said they chew their tablets - you're not supposed to?

I have to take penicillen everyday (although I rarely take them), but they taste so awful that I take them with coca cola, rather than water. Injections I am fine with and blood tests are ok, and drips and blood transfusions.

SOme you can, some you can't. It depends what they're purpose is.

I will only take pills and nothing else. I hate the liquid and everything else.

I can swallow pills without water now and with water i can get up to about 4 at a time. Its pretty easy alll u need to do is put it in your mouth try to forget about it then drink a sip of water.

I'll take any tablets/medicines if it helps. although i hate having injections cuz i really hate needles.

I can't take tablets, whole, crushed up in a drink or anything- I just don't like them at all. Same with injections, I'm rarely ill anyway but when I am it's serious or it's for a quite a long time. I never get a few days were I'm ill or out like that, so I never really take medicine anyway.

Ive been taking tablets since I was 8 because I didnt like syrup (except piryton) I have a phobia of needles. I was put on gas and air for a flu jab :P. I had to have a blood test when I had my stomach ulcer and I screamed like hell, even with the numbing cream on !
