Just wondering how you get to play deathmatches. I read you could somewhere, just need to know how. :P

Umm, there are deathmatch servers aren't there? So you can instantly respawn and such. I presumed they'd just be normal servers but then I read something about mods and now I'm confused...

What do you mean by type, exactly? In the change filters bit? (Presuming you presumed I'm playing Source, by the way. :P)

Find Servers, Change filters, and then... No option for to change it to dm_. I'm playing Source by the way. Are you thinking of 1.6?

No that field isn't there. I have Game, Map, Location, Latency and Anti-cheat.

Hmm that came up with about 5 servers, one of which was populated. I connected to that server and it doesn't appear to be a deathmatch.

Hmm. All you're doing is typing 'dm_' into Map: ? I don't need anything more than the basic version of CS Source right? Any updates or anything.

No you don't.. nothing is required? Except the maps.. and those are downloaded when you connect.

Wow dentafrice. Give out the wrong information more? The deathmatch mod doesn't require any downloads at all it only requires a 'Deathmatch server'. Also the map doesn't have to start with dm_ its normally de_dust2 and will say 'Deathmatch' in the description of the game.

I never said anything had to be downloaded? he did, read wrong more?

Also, on the US game most start with dm_ or de_ alot and you have to download the maps if you don't have them.

80% of deathmatches are on de_dust2. You don't need some dm_map **.

No they are not, I just played a little while ago and I hardly ever play on de_dust2 or any dust for that matter.

My latency is always < 100 on the servers I play on, and they are hardly ever de, as well as the rest in my list.

Also if you play on say, dm_valley then you have to wait for that to download while loading the server before you can play.
