PES 2008

Anyone else in this muddle? Because both games look brilliant.

I've always preferred PES but this years one wasn't really that great, Fifa might be the better football game this year

I heard there is a demo coming mid-October, if it sucks I'm buying FIFA, if it's brill then I'm getting PES. I've already played the FIFA 08 demo.

The demo for PES is on xbox marketplace and it's not as good as the older versions, I don't think it is anyway

I was Fifa from '98 to '04 then I was PES '4 to '6
This year I really don't know, but I know where my loyalties lie!! I'm too much of a fanboy to go to the effort of downloading the Fifa demo.

If you like pinball-arcade-ten-nil wins then go for PES.

If you like fluid, realistic, close ties then go for FIFA.

For example, I beat Birmingham 6-0 then in my next match against Leyton Orient [League Cup] I drew 1-1 and lost 6-5 on penalties, I was Chelsea.

PES 1,2,3,5 & 6 I have played and it was an arcade game.

FIFA 95,97,99,00,01,02,03,04,05,06,07 & 08 I have played and tbh, yes, it has got more realistic as it's gone along [obviously] but every year FIFA has been more realistic in both gameplay and licensing every year, apart from possibly PES3 as that was a revolution in PES.

i used to play fifa untill pro evo 4 and from then on ive played pro evo & i cant wait for the next one. fifa is to easy you can score from the half way line, pro evo is well more realistic & it is just a brilliant game.

you must have it on the easiest level, maybe try it on the 3rd/4th level :)

Erm, anyone can score that ammount of goals on the easiest difficulty setting, same on any game. Tevez's stats were appalling on PES6 from what I remember so it must of been the easiest setting.

I hammered B'ham 6-0 the match before.

I'm just comparing the games on the bottom level, I personally find FIFA realistic.

PES6 was more realistic than 5 and eventually it will get there.

And my point is, I play on the easiest difficulty on both games and I'm comparing the realism there as it should be realistic [ball movement, shooting, tackling, jostling, passing, movement, AI] on any level.
