You have a limited time to claim your rep im sure, but its more than 3 days im sure :S
EDIT:
oo
never relised that:
Reputation Points
As a VIP member you are entitled to 15 reputation points for each month of your subscription. You should request for these points within the first 3 days of your subscription, otherwise we will not give them to you due to people multiple requesting. Here is a list of the amount of points you get for your subscription:

In fairness, you should read the threads. It is your responsibility to ensure that you check all relevant material to make sure that you understand exactly what needs to be done. The rule is obviously there for a reason, to stop multiple requesting, and it is unfortunate that you have fell ill of it.

I have tried to make that as clear as possible.
You should be sure to read the first post of the thread before posting, I shall announce it in the VIP forums and give you benefit of the doubt this time.
That VIP page is about the features you get, not how you claim them. In order to read how you claim your features you need to read that first post as I asked.
Thanks.

I did add it this time only.
I have hopefully brought more attention to that update and thank you for alerting that the update wasn't clear enough.
I will not be doing that in the future, as Adzeh said, you need to check up on the threads so you know what goes on.

Just a bit of background on why it was implemented, we basically use it so that we know if the user is trying to con us. A certain member claimed about 1080 rep points worth after buying three months of VIP, by periodically posting. By limiting it to three days, first of all it prevents the time period in which they can "fraud" rep points, and usually for that three day period the VIP editor will remember adding the rep.
We will try to add it in a more visible place, but you should check the lounge :)
To stop frauds etc, why dont you just manually add rep when someone buys VIP? This way they dont have to request it every time, and therfore they cannot fraud you.
So if I buy VIP today, a vip manager will look at who has bought vip today and will add all their rep.
Or modifiy the vBulletin source code to automatically add the rep would be a much better way.

Not all members who buy VIP want the reputation points, so it will be unfair on those who don't want the points and they get them.

But the rep is part of VIP features, such as the name and arcade. It's just like saying you should request your coloured name as people might only want the arcade features.

There are a fair few who like to earn it! And don't want any that they havent earned!

Forcing members to take the rep points is like forcing people to have a HTML usertitle, not everybody wants it.
I myself am a VIP and I do not claim my reputation points simply because I do not care weather I have 10 rep points or 1000, I used to claim them but haven't in a year now.
Some people simply do not want all of the features they have and are happy with just the name, or the arcade.

Same here. Some people just don't want their VIP rep, for whatevers reason.

3 days is a very short time to claim though. If the ViP takes say 48 hours to set up(if there are problems can be longer) and the member is away for a few days they lose out. 10 days would be much fairer I think.

After their VIP is set up, and i doubt someones going to buy VIP then the next day go away and not return, ruins the point in buying rep at that time.

Some members only sign on a couple of times a week/ have computer problems so 3 days is way too short.
If thats the case Habbox should guarantee that rep, vip, name changes etc will be done within 3 days and we all know that is not always possible.
It works both ways :)

If they had computer problems i'd assume (not sure) that there would be something done about it, but as said, most people read the vip forums when they get VIP. and now there was an announcement so they should know from now, 3 days is a short time but better than Habbox getting scammed of 1000+ rep ..

It doesnt matter when the name change/rep is given. As long as you request the rep within 3 days of activating the VIP subscription, you will get the rep no matter how long it takes to recieve it. Usually its done within 24-48 hours though :).

I will stick to my points thanks - hardly see that lengthening from 3 -10 days
is going to mean they are going to get scammed. The time to claim before was virtually indefinite so the new rule makes sense just the time scale is prohibitive in my view. Over and out :)
Mad - my point was that Habbox should be seen the match the stringent time restrictions that they are putting on their users. If Habbox says members should do things within 3 days then they should practice what they preach as the users are paying for the services. I agree that the present staff editors are very efficient but there has been many occasions on the last 12 months when things have gone wrong. :)

As MAD said, its done from the day you get your VIP Membership on your account to the day you request it, both of these pieces of information are easy to obtain (via the users control panel in the Admin CP and the day they posted in the thread).
I think 3 days is enough to claim it, or they could just PM me and explain that they were away during those 3 days (which is often unlikely) and we can see what we can do.

Well it could also mean that they haven't seen it and still have to realise that they haven't claimed their rep but I take your point. Agree to disagree :)

Its from when its added.
We usually do add it in that timeframe, situations arise, and we are understanding of that on the part of the user, which is why in extenuating circumstances, Joshuar has stated you can PM him to make your case. There, setting the same standards :)
And Rosie, as awesome as you are, you can't claim that this is a problem because its been in place for...since before last Christmas, and this is the first time there has been a problem, so it seems that these issues are very few and far between.
