40GB PS3

Ew. One canot manage without one's 4 USB ports. :].

Port 1 - Controller charger
port 2 - USB headset
port 3 - PSP
port 4 - [reserved for playstation eye]

I could get that I think. I don't touch the USB ports as far as I am aware. Unless I get the controller charger and any add ons with a game. It would mean I don't have to worry about getting GTA IV on either Xbox 360 or PS3.

Lol, I'm gonna have to choose between this and a Wii, this is very tempting as I really want Motorstorm but I donno about the decrease in USB ports, and a Wii has more games I want so annoying lol

Hmmm, not much of a problem for me. Not sure about others though, that is an important function for next gen consoles.

That function was removed from the 40GB Model due to the whole value of it.

The USB ports dont matter in the slightest, just pop down to PC world and pick up a USB hub for a fiver and you're done ;)

The only thing wrong with this version that I can think of, is that it doesnt play PS2 games. Loads of people will get worked up about this, but the likelyhood is, they're never gonna use their old games on it anyway, lol, so I guess it doesnt matter much.

Oh, and this version doesnt have a Ethernet cable with it, but thats not really a problem, I've got tonnes lying around and Im sure alot of others do to :P Could always use wi-fi anyway.

Overall I think its a pretty worthy deal, but I'm gonna get the 80GB :)

no it wont, and its 60GB not 80, they will proberly just add more games to it etc... but it wont go down for a while

The only thing that puts me off this 40GB one is that it doesn't come with anything but 1 controller, I would prefer one that comes with 2 controllers, Motorstorm and Resistance but oh well :P

Better start saving up for the 60GB before they go. Not enough room to just place it ontop of ps2. >.> so id have to give up one of my other consoles.. need GC for my imports can play on wii ect hmmm i'll probably be able to get one after christmas. i'll prolly just get money this year.

Also does the eyetoy work on the ps3? or do you have to buy the ps3 one?

I'm lonely 3/4 of the time I spend on my PS3, it's not that I don't have many friends, it's just that my current PSN friends are on their other consoles all the time, not realising the potential of the PS3.
