Well I'm watching a random program about it. So have you ever shop lifted? What do you think about it?
Personally I think it is really unfair on the shop keepers that have to wokr just to get their stock stolen..

Some people steal some of the dumbest things. Like gum. Why not just buy it. It's like under $2.00. Gosh. I agree with ^^.

no i havent, but loads of ppl steal from sainsburys at lunch at college. but recently they have been hitting harder when it comes to shoplifting so ppl r getting caught more frequently.

Yeh, gum is 30p or roughly 60 cent it can't be too hard to find that much? Where I live you could find that much on the floor. With a little effort.

Or people with drug/drink related problems. They usually steal things that they can sell Dvds CDs etc.

some people also steal because they think its either "cool" or just want to be rebelious. or just because they want to. there are people at my college who are not poor, but steal stuff from sainsburys just because i guess. kinda stupid but i dont really care, cause its not be who is doing it so...

You should pay for the stuff you want, it's unfair that some pay for it and some just walk out with it.

We had a competition to see who could shoplift the most.
We had two people who would walk around with their school bags and another two people who would grab stuff they wanted and shove it into the other persons bag. I was one of the people grabbing. We got stopped at the door just before we were going to go but since the only people with stuff from the shop were the ones with their bag, they were the only ones that got caught. Me and my other friend were told we could go. Never been so lucky in my life. But of course we done it before, so no, we didn't get caught on our first go. The shop was Co-Op btw. It got burnt down like a year later by kids mucking around. Rofl. Anyway, we done that like 3 years ago. Never done it again after.
ahahaha this brings back good memories. like 3 years ago every saturday we would go in town, mostly claires accsesories and superdrug.. pick up as much as possible.. then wh smith for a disbosable camera then to iceland for drink. and have a banging night for nothing lol
Never personally. I've been around people when they have, but I haven't shoplifted myself. People always try and shoplift at work, it's quite entertaining when you catch them.

I went to town with my mate , in year 8 or 7 I cant remember , and he went into woolworths and walked straight over to their pickinmix stand where the Jell bean stand was. It was a stand with about 20+ boxes with hundreds of flavours of jelly beans and he walked passed it about 10 times dipping his hand in and out each time. He came out with a mouth looking like a hamster storing food and his pockets were completely bulged.

oh and i stole a pop-top from Red Rooster like 6 weeks ago.. they were ridiculously overpriced so we took double drinks and went back to the net cafe :D

no i dont but mates do from a small corner shop near our school
everyone just go's in there so the owner cant see the sweets bit and they just stick stuff in their bags and coats

No, you would still call me a poor theif. Like everyone who has posted in this thread has taken something that doesn't belong to them so you're obviously only saying that to me because you have a grudge against me. :rolleyes:
In my first post to you in the Nemo thread I actually said something along the lines 'Sorry, I don't mean to sound like an arguing noob, I just think what you said was uneeded'. I've been looking for the thread but I think it got deleted. So I actually didn't intend on an argument. Every argument we've had after that you have started though. Just like this one.

ive only really stole a can of pepsi because i was soooo thirsty and i had no money, just my bus fair home. oh and a packet of maltesers. lol.

The only thing ive stolen is a pencil sharpner when I was like four, I didnt even know it was stealing I was just like ooo colorfull and put in my pocket lol random.

People say Shoplifting is wrong, yet they are internet pirates. This doesn't make sense, but I don't agree with either anymore. I have never sholiffted in my life, I wouldn't take the chance, and to be honest, my friend used to shoplift, when he got something for me I refused it, i was like "you just stole that? no ty. you have it."

I havnt shoplifted anything that i can remember, i think its pointless really because if i owned the shop i would be rather peed off.

No im not saying for a can of coke i mean in general.
If you get people stealing from your shop everyday you would get rather annoyed because it could start at a can of pop and end up stealing £3's of stuff at a time and that would add up.

at an old cornershop thats closed know the owner was an idiot, it was 1pence per sweet and he would ask how many was in there... you could see were this was leading. You could fill a bag so it was bursting and say there was 50 in there and he would believe you and charge 50pence. I didnt really see that as stealing because hes fully aware and isnt preventing it and I was still paying for it just not the full price.
