View Full Version : Whats Your View

Whats your view on life?, by that i mean how do you think the universe was created and do you think there is a meaning to life like "everyone is here for a reason"

my views are that the universe is just another phenominan (spelling) and the solar system was created by "the big bang"

i beleive there is no reason of life as in we are not here for a reason, we are just some of the intellegant life in the greatness of the cosmos

god created the universe with animals & dinosaurs etc, animals evolved into humans & dinosaurs became extinct.

Impossible. Just the same as somone saying give evidence that the Earth was created via Science and whatnot.

1. If he had everyone being perfect we would be like robots?

2. There is no proof any religion is real. They are called faiths because its your beleive/faith . There is no eveidence and I doubt there ever will be.

ok well i respect your point of view its just i dont see how there can be a super being when there is i dunno like so much for the big bang just google it and read it

edit: your =1 isnt really a good reason as if he was a good god he wouldnt let people die and let them suffer - just my point of view

Yes, it's all your fault. You did it. You are the traitor. You've betrayed us all. You did it. It was you. That's it.

Personally I have no idea anymore. Ive taken the idea of god and religion out of the window. but I dont know the rest. its just itself tbh. nothing made it. it was just sorta here. I believe in evolution because I spent 4 weeks studying anthropology which led me to conclsions on that but for the rest of life I have no idea. I think really we spend to much time questioning things instead of getting on with life.

it makes you think, the universe does my science teacher says if you kept thinking about how it was created and why its there and how far it goes you would go mad lol

So true.

Any book that says a man gathered up two of every animal on the planet (plus food and fresh water) and put them on a boat that was half the size of the titanic for 40 days and 40 nights is OBVIOUSLY fiction. That is scientifically impossible, I'm sorry.

But then again not everyone can believe a being which has about as much proof for creating the universe to exist as the big bang anyway. One is more logical, the other is more about belief.

I go with the big bang theory, because most of the Christian religion has been disproved and I only think of the bible as a book to guide people and give them advice, rather than a book to live your whole life on. The only thing that cannot be disproved is God's existence, because existence isn't part of God's definition.

This is what I do not understand. How could science create the world? Or the big bang? Like a big bang could create trees, volcanoes, life, humans, etc.?

GommeInc
12-10-2007, 10:33 PM
By a chain of events. The bang causes multiple planets. A planet could have a variety nof gases, which slowly create an atmosphere of water, air etc. Then these cans tart creating biological creatures etc etc. Haven't done science in years, so excuse my lack of remembering what could happen

as gomme said its mostly that, our gravity when the earth was created pulled the gaes around earth together to form an atmosphere, in this atmosphere the conditions are perfect for life to develop and evolve with water and air, volcanoes are formed when the tectonic plates (plates around the earth on top of the mantl) move around such as the himalayers, that hs occured with two plates smashing into each other. and there is evidence that humans are decendants of homosapiens (primates) we are homosapien sapiens, and primates have evolved from lesser beings, this can be followed back right to when the earth was created to be honest...

Then how come the big bang didn't become a black hole, seeing as it was a singularity?

-Xiangu-
13-10-2007, 07:37 AM
sorry i dont understand, the big bang was a blast from a nearby star that and the explosion was called the big bang, not all stars become a black hole when they die

Jazza
13-10-2007, 09:11 AM
You all seem to be slightly confused about the big bang so I'll give a shot at explaining it.

Before the big bang there was a type of matter which has not been observed yet (usually called anti-matter). This started pulling inwards causing friction and a huge density change, the friction cause extreme heat which in turn exploded expelling matter (the big bang has now happened). The matter which was thrown out starts to gain its own gravitational pull which created large masses (planets).

Get it?

Qamp
13-10-2007, 02:35 PM
No i dont get it

Virgin Mary
13-10-2007, 03:28 PM
Not really. Where did this anti-matter come from? Why didn't relativity or the other laws such as gravity come into act immediately? It's a very 'made-up-as-it-goes-along' theory in my opinion. So is God in some ways I guess, but God isn't claiming factuality in the name of science. I think it's more logical to think of a creator causing the big bang.

Ezzie.
13-10-2007, 04:22 PM
I'm agnostic, i believe the universe had a "creator" of sorts, and i also believe in quite alot of the "mysticism", "afterlife", etc.

I really do disagree with the whole christian hell concept.. you can be a good christian, but if you've been bought up in a different religion you goto hell..?

Also to add: I believe the big bang occured, but I also like the concept of the M theory/string theory where the big bang was a ripple effect which trigged off a multi - verse type occurance.

-Xiangu-
13-10-2007, 04:41 PM
cool cool, i also have views on the afterlife etc

Where did this creator come from? Oh and don't tell me it just happened, you have hinted yourself that's not possible. :eusa_wall

Religion provides no answers, it provides excuses for not having the answers, sorry. At least science attempts to solve the mysteries of our planet and universe and it has provided countless things we know today to be FACTUAL and not some mysterious event caused by gods will. I will also say science has healed and cured a hell of a lot more people than god ever has, at least in the past 250 years.
Your stories in the bible of god magically healing people have no factual backing, they are simply stories in a story book, science on the other hand... well lets not go there the list goes on forever, besides you can look anywhere today and see things science has done to make your life a thousands times better.

If people want to live their life by the bible then great that’s fine for them, we're in the 21st century and the majority of us have the freedom to believe in what ever we want, but what I have a problem with is this political correctness and religion getting in the way of how I want to live MY life. Stem cell research is something that should be pursued, instead we have corrupt born again Christians in the United States government
preventing this from happening.

Well seeing as any creator would've been around before time existed you're lead to believe that they had no beginning.

but time does exhist and i want to add maybe the universe didnt have a beginning that created it maybe it wasa here since well erm... its just there its always been there forever if that makes any sense and time is something humans created (my beleif)

Ezzie.
14-10-2007, 08:13 PM
Time is a human perception to attempt to perceive and measure a period of time, but trying to estimate the age of the universe and to even contemplate if it was created/it had a "beginning" is quite foolish.
