Was it cancelled, I sure hope not.
Just found this out, Wikipedia
"Project H.A.M.M.E.R. is a possibly cancelled Nintendo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo) franchise on the Wii (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii)[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Hammer#_note-0) developed by Nintendo Software Technology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Software_Technology). No information on the game had been released to the public or media since the game's original announcement at E3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E3) 2006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006), and rumors began circulating in mid-June, 2007, that the game was not going to be released, and that the development team had gone to work on other games.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Hammer#_note-1) Nintendo confirmed at E3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E3) 2007 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007) that development is currently on hold.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Hammer#_note-E32007) Beth Llewelyn, senior director of public relations at Nintendo of America, made a point to note, however, that despite the game not being a focus of Nintendo’s, Project H.A.M.M.E.R. “may come back” in the future.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Hammer#_note-E32007) One of Famitsu's September 2007 issues reported what most of gamers waiting for H.A.M.M.E.R feared: The game has been cancelled. Many gamers speculated that Nintendo cancelled the game in favor of more "core" games, and blame it for its attitude."
I sure hope it isnt.
