I had one once, it took about 20 minutes.

It's really noisy (like banging noises) so you can't relax properly though :(

I had one. It's very noisey, plus you cant have metal things cos its like a magnet. It takes a while, btw they give you earmuffs. Stay really still (you'll probably be laying down anyway).

it takes about 30 mins. it's kinda cool i listened to the radio threw headphones when mine was done due to the noise people say there scary but there really not you basically laying on a converare belt. you can move back and forth threw the machine. i only had my knee done so i stayed in the same spot the whole time.

i was supposed to have an emergency one on my knee a couple of months ago but they cudnt fit me in -.-

well my day was crap, my MRI is tomorrow at 2 PM and I was addmited at 12 today it ended up taking 20 minutes for my 24 hour scan in the end so came home have to go back tomorrow now...
