but on most websites there is ' add this site to your home page '

anybody got any idea?

I think its javascript, have you googled it? Have you tried w3schools?

look under javascript or when on a site with "Make this site your homepage" hover over it and see what it says in the task bar and google that

Do you mean like add a website to yours as in a "link"?
or just in general like when you open IE or Firefox or w.e the homepage to pop up i.e. Google?

As far as i'm aware this only works on IE.

Even google has removed "Make google your homepage".

So obviously they have noticed it doesn't work. As it is a security risk :)
