The reason for my departure is because I have now been offered and accepted a job by Justine Hill (AKA Ex Hotel Manager Callie) at ClubTropica (http://www.clubtropica.com).

http://www.clubhabboforum.net/showthread.php?t=76969

So now we have Habbo Support Staff, Habbo Hotel Managers, Habbo Fansite Owners...

Basically, I'll explain for all you dummies who can't get their facts right.

HabboRemix owns ClubTropica.com, an MMOCC which is alot like what Habbar did with Bittybay, another MMOCC. The owner of Habboremix owns ClubTropica.com and yes, probably does have some Habbo Staff working there... But I'm not holding my breath on that. Bittybay is just different, like Habbo but there's tons of companies like this? You just have to open your eyes and see how big this market is.

You're really looking at the small picture here, there's at least 10-20 companies just like Habbo, trying to open MMOCCs. They're hugely popular, and I guess the owners of HabboRemix are tapping into that.

That's really as much as I can say, I'm not willing to say much more lol.

Actually I think sierk makes a loss seeing as the costs for the servers/hosting for just the forum would cost a ton , not including the actual Habbox site and and Habboxlive , Also ---mad--- said that a professional company looks after and maintain the servers for Habbox so that would cost alot of $$$ aswell, Vip is only £1 and seeing as it costs money for the the actual sms service to run and paypal fees it's probably only around 70p , vip alone isn't enough to pay for everything let alone give him a profit to live on :p

It seems Club tropica are hiring all the '1337' people so this will be intresting and i'm looking forward to it :)

ClubTropica is a brand new online multiplayer game.

They have an office in London which is shown if you search to see if it is a legit company which it is.

Habbo Staff and a few other users have been been hired by ClubTropica Ltd. All companies require staff for them to function so why make a big deal.. People have probably been hired due to their past experiences and trust etc.

James (Just-one) first registered the domain back in 2006 when ClubTropica was first thought up. It now belongs to ClubTropica Ltd not him.

Atm, I believe that this is a load of rubbish and why anyone would invest into an office before actually opening something hasn't really made a good decision in my opinion.

The only way in which I will believe that this actually does exist is to see some form of screenshots or client otherwise there is no proof that this actually exists. Do not say about the small image on the site.

Please also don't reply with ask so and so he works here, your an idiot don't you see why would we all lie etc. etc. as that will only make my opinion think less of the site.

It's my opinion give me some proof that it exists and I'll change views and normally when someone creates a site they discuss it trying to get peoples opinions before a release rather than just releasing it with no-one liking it. I fail to see this.

Yeah there will be, somewhere down the line. I hear everyone saying they'll leave Habbo for this, but to be honest I really don't see it happening for long. I don't mean to drop hopes of CT being sucessful, but I do see that happening. It looks more like they're tapping into Habbos resources (users), but then... What happens once the resources are gone? Many people have said this to me so I will resolve this now.

We are planning in November to launch the official fully working version to a limited number, IE the Habbox community. After everything has been approved and working fine, we will start the massive marketing campaign our Marketing Director (and also investor) has planned and budgeted for. We are not soley using the Habbo database, our company has many professional and clever people and we have thought about everything and anything. We are not a kiddy teenage company which you and many others assume, some of the investors are involved with other larger websites with huge user bases aswell which we will also be targetting, so don't you worry about it just being for just you guys! So much fun will be going on at ClubTropica, both online and offline events, people won't want to leave! :)

Exactly, I can't see this being unique. The only selling point so far, and the only reason there are so many pages in this thread is because Callie is supposedly involved, for those who don't have any idea who Callie is, it wont be appealing at all. It is too similar to everything else so far.

And that, in my opinion could be ClubTropica's downfall... Nothing against Callie, but if she threatens to leave she could probably demand alot of pay since she is, the 'pull' which will drag most members in for the beginning. Beginnings count as they're the foundations, and without foundations your whole builiding (or in this case ClubTropica) will fall. I guess once Callie leaves, which will eventually happen as we all get bored of jobs, that'll be the probably most interesting part in ClubTropica's history. x]

Habbo were big boys untill their user numbers decreased because they no longer offer anything new which we do (and you will find out soon about this), the other reason is because alot of the older users are too embarrased to say they are habbo's, and alot of habbos content and target audience is 13-16 year olds. Our target is 18+, and most users who knew Callie 2 years ago would be approaching 18 now. This is not to say this is our key marketing ploy, its far from it.. this was only to get the few numbers to test our software before we targeted the larger quantity of users!

As with all internet companies, you can not predict how it will turn out, however with such a great group of people backing it I am sure it will go very far. :)

True but the average 18 year old does like to socialise and take part in things both on and offline which is hinted at in James' healthy paragraph of info. ClubTropica clearly isn't just going to be another virtual world. It will go beyond that!

This ClubTropicana is basicly going to be There with some semi-well known staff (Fansite owners and the former HM of habbo, a more succesful "Virtual World"

And half the features of CT are from There, voice chat, IM.. or am I thinking of second life..

Ohwell, they all suck anyway. Habbo, There, Second Life and CT probley will.

It's just sad how most of their community is following their development for Callie and Disarno, and not the actual service.

That'll hurt 'em in the log run.
